I Hear You'll Take Any Job

[Power Couple / Younger Man / Cyber Taoist Master]

Everyone said Chen Jiujie, the Chen family's adopted son, was just a watchdog for the family.

The Chen family wanted a prime test subject for their human-modification experiments.

Chen Jiujie was the first to volunteer.

The Chen family complained that he was missing a yin-yang eye.

Without hesitation, Chen Jiujie dug out his own left eye and replaced it with a cybernetic one.

The Chen family told him to serve as a bodyguard to Gu Huai, the young master of the Gu family.

After seeing the string of zeroes in the offered payment, Chen Jiujie readily agreed.

Gu Huai was a notorious playboy.

Rumor had it that, despite his young age, he'd tried every vice in the book, and that he was handsome and had a colorful love life.

Looking at Chen Jiujie's refined features, everyone couldn't help but silently question the word "bodyguard."

This man really would do anything for money.

Later, when the Chen family patriarch passed away, Chen Jiujie, covered in wounds, was kicked out the front door and dragged into Gu Huai's car through the back.

The reasoning was that now the watchdog had become a stray dog, so Young Master Gu could do whatever he wanted with him.

Late at night, Gu Huai wrapped his long legs around Chen Jiujie's waist and counted the scars on his body.

Chen Jiujie was ticklish, and slapped his hand away. "I heard you can tell fortunes. Is that true?"

Gu Huai asked in return, "I heard you'll take any job. Is that true?"

"If the pay is good, anything goes."

"Good." Gu Huai kissed Chen Jiujie's empty left eye socket.

"I want you to defy fate and change mine."
