A little plug for my new book! If you're interested, please check out Don't Be Cannon Fodder, Be a Royal Merchant instead. Transmigrating into a book as a cannon-fodder character, he makes a comeback and turns the arrogant protagonist into a loser, switches partners, marries his brother-in-law, and rises to the top of life!
The couple: A steady, rational, career-focused top x a sunny, adorable, radiant beauty bottom QvQ
Blurb for this story
[Gentle, cunning storyteller top x reserved and cool to outsiders, gentle and understanding teacher bottom]
Ning Jing transmigrates into a farming novel about a reborn protagonist, becoming the villainous scholar.
In the original story, he was the protagonist bottom's abusive, parasitic husband in his previous life. His current husband is the protagonist bottom's older half-brother, the one doted on by the whole family. His mother is the sharp-tongued, vicious mother-in-law who, in the protagonist bottom's previous life, tormented him nearly to death.
Well, this is a textbook family of villains destined for a face-slapping, with one slap after another ringing out nonstop, isn't it?
But Ning Jing says: Want to slap me in the face?
Not a chance!
The people of He'an Village suddenly notice that Ning, the gloomy, arrogant scholar who used to look down on everyone and couldn't lift a hand or shoulder a load, has started coming out to help with the work. He smiles at everyone, and his smile is so charming that even people who hate him can't help striking up a conversation.
People think that although Liu Jingqiu marrying a man like this is like a flower stuck in cow dung, at least the cow dung is quite handsome.
Later, the Ning family's life gets better and better. They eat meat every day, even seafood, buy an ox cart and a carriage, and build a big house. Ning Jing's mother dresses herself in gold and silver, eager to show off to the heavens.
The villagers all sneer: No wonder he's doing so well. He stole his husband's dowry!
But then word comes from the city. What? That Ning scholar they looked down on as a kept man is actually the famous storyteller "Jing Xia" from Yuzhou City?!
Everyone was waiting for the family to spend all their husband's dowry and get what was coming to them. Ning Jing, why don't you follow the script? You put on a secret identity and quietly go to the city to make a fortune!
In the end, as he keeps working at his big undertaking, Ning Jing accidentally becomes the Imperial Tutor and saves the world, becoming the beloved figure throughout the Jiang dynasty who brings the legacy of Chinese culture to a foreign land.
Life really is unpredictable.
Ning Jing shakes his head, smiles softly, and turns to give his husband a flower, from his black hair to his white.
Reader's guide:
1. There are many original worldbuilding details, and the author decides the prices. Don't compare them to ancient China. Watermelons, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and all sorts of things exist here. The setting is vast and rich in resources, with abundant species but little culture.
2. Both leads are each other's only partners. Their feelings are mutual, and there will be a little bun later on.
3. Characters' positions are all relative, not simply black or white. No one is perfect. You may criticize the characters, but please don't make it personal toward the author.
4. Not recommended for readers with extreme preferences about either lead.
Finally, I'm a beginner, and my writing isn't perfect. If you aren't enjoying the story, darling, feel free to stop reading. Don't get upset over it. (Pat, pat.)
Hope you enjoy reading!
Theme: Work hard to turn your fortunes around and change your fate, letting Chinese culture blossom in another world.
Thank you little cuties for supporting the genuine version! Next book is "I Owned a Clothing Shop in Ancient Times", a warm and plain farming story about business, a gentle and prudent clothing shop owner Gong × the delicate and beautiful little peacock cloth shop shopkeeper, a heartwarming story of supporting each other to open a shop. If you like it, you can click and add it to your collection first, please give it a try~
Damn, Jingqiu must be very sad. Although I know that Ning Jing is doing the right thing, I still feel so pitiful for Jingqiu. Even in a special period like pregnancy, Ning Jing is not here. I hope I can comfort him or something in the future. Anyway, I really felt sad for Jingqiu when I saw this plot. QAQ Maybe it's because my father was not here when my mother gave birth to me. I still feel that at such an important time, a lover should be with me.
Uh... So with their identities, will they be able to succeed in the end?
End of the story ~ The whole article is well written. It is a rare article about farming and upgrading. Except for the first dozen or so chapters where the male protagonist handles the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, which is very unpleasant, there are no flaws at all. It is a article worth reading.
It's so uncomfortable. This terrible epidemic. Those three mountains remind me of our three mountains.
Ah~~~So did the Imperial Master disappear with the collapsed tricolor pillar?
If the three-color pillar collapses, does that mean there is no more national master? Such a good national teacher, you must not do it!
It's very beautiful, especially as it gets more exciting as you go to the back. I like the extra chapters more, they're very exciting.
Sprinkle flowers! Very well written!!!
Hahahahahahahahaha how the hell could you do this to little Jiang Ning!
