From Unlucky Nobody to Rising Star of the Police Force [1990s]

Third-person narration, with a slight ensemble-cast feel.

My name is Feng Shiyi, and I'm a born jinx.

The bad luck I've had ranges from being abandoned at birth to opening a pack of candy and finding nothing but lemon flavors.

Still, I have a good adoptive mother and four friends I've known since childhood, so growing up was pretty happy.

After graduating from police academy, I was assigned to the Major Crimes Unit B at Yau Ma Tei Police Station. From then on, I went from a born jinx to a rising star in the police force.

On my first day at work, I passed a jewelry store while it was being robbed and, as a concerned citizen, helped my boss's nemesis solve a string of murders.

On my third day, I got trapped in an elevator while conducting interviews. I noticed the sleeping child in the stroller opposite me looked exactly like the kidnapped son of a jewelry tycoon.

On my tenth day, I took the wrong bag on the bus when it braked suddenly, and found a bloody dagger and a diary inside.

On my Nth day at work, someone was being interviewed, and once again, my bad luck led me to a key clue in a case!
