Raising Little Ones in Rikkai

Please add my completed novel, "Playing Tennis on the Champion Team," to your reading list. A new first-year student has arrived at Rikkai University Affiliated Junior High. He looks like a bit of a delinquent. The captain, Tanejima, decides to take good care of the new student, Takigawa Rin. But when he tries to steal Rin's drink, Rin steals his instead. In the National Tournament final, Rikkai puts its super rookie in the singles one match. The audience assumes Rikkai has given up, but the super rookie defeats Byodoin Phoenix and wins the national championship for Rikkai. After his seniors graduate, Takigawa Rin takes over Rikkai's tennis club. At the gates of Rikkai, he spots two adorable little kids beneath the cherry trees, promising each other that they will conquer the world together. Looking at the child with blue-purple hair and the black-haired child in a hat, Takigawa Rin feels his hands getting itchy. He's good in every other way, but he just can't resist kittens, puppies, or little kids. "If you let me pat your heads, I'll tell you the weakness of Rikkai captain Takigawa. How about it? That's a great deal, right?" "If you let me pinch your cheeks too, I'll tell you vice captain Mori's weakness as well! Mm, they're so soft!" The smile on the blue-purple-haired child's face nearly slips. "Could you please stop touching us while you're talking, senpai?" The black-haired child's face turns bright red. "Senpai, you're far too careless!" At the National Tournament during the year Yukimura and Sanada are in their third year of junior high The Rikkai team, aiming for its fourth consecutive national title, wears stern expressions as they face off against the other schools. Suddenly, a high school student wearing sunglasses walks toward the Rikkai team. He takes off his glasses, revealing a carefree, devil-may-care face. The people from the other schools realize with a start that this is Takigawa Rin, who has just won the Wimbledon championship! "Little Seiichi, little Genichiro, what should you do when you see your beloved senpai?" At the newcomer's suggestive smile, the Rikkai captain, who had just been acting so imperious, obediently lowers his head and lets the tennis king pat it. The fearsome-looking Rikkai vice captain silently takes off his hat, while the Rikkai strategist puts away his notebook and gets in line to wait his turn... Reader's notes: 1. This story has a mountain of original settings, and many of the high schools are made up. I know Tanejima goes to Maizaka, but the plot calls for it, so I've moved him to Rikkai. The tennis here is my own fantasy-style take on the sport, and the settings may not follow the original exactly. 2. Yukimura and Sanada won't become captain and vice captain until their third year. They'll spend the first two years being doted on (and tormented) by their seniors, so read with caution if that's not your thing. 3. Since they won't have to take responsibility, the Big Three in their first year of junior high will be more childish. OOC warning. 4. Everyday life and matches will make up roughly a 60/40 split. There will be more everyday-life chapters than matches. The protagonist will play in the U17 tournament from two years earlier, but the plot will not cover the main U17 storyline. 5. The protagonist is not perfect. He has both strengths and flaws, and they are equally apparent. Theme: Strive together with your teammates and care for your juniors.
