After Everyone’s Least Favorite Girl Dies

I'm a washed-up D-list actress from a poor family. I'm mild-mannered, and everyone around me looks down on me.

My parents call me useless. Senior actors at my company brazenly steal my roles, my boss withholds my pay, and rival fans slander my acting, saying I'm nothing but a pretty face.

·

To avoid being pressured into sexual favors, I lie and claim to be a rich heiress. To my surprise, everyone starts treating me differently.

To keep my precarious lie alive, I grit my teeth and mingle with high society at a banquet, pretending I'm an old friend of theirs.

Unexpectedly, they don't kick me out. They even let me stay by their side and help cover up my lie.

F1 is refined and gentle, F2 is aloof and taciturn, and F3 is composed and cheerful. They are heirs, each at the top of their field.

They spend lavishly on jewelry for me, paint portraits of me with their own hands, and take me to watch their competitions. It all feels like a dream, and I almost believe I've become one of the upper class.

·

Then, at the cruise-ship press conference where I was announced as the female lead, someone exposed my background and denounced my ugly, deceitful ways.

I looked to them for help, only to find that no one would stand up for me. As they looked on coldly, I realized I had never truly belonged among the upper class. They had only been kind to me because they found my disguise ridiculous and amateurish, treating me as a plaything and a source of amusement.

I left in tears, was pushed into the sea, and died in the icy water.

·

When I woke up again, I discovered that I had become the daughter of the richest man in the country.
