After Mistaking the Villain for the Saintly Heroine

Yan Yuxing, the strongest fighter of the apocalypse, is transported into a no-romance post-apocalyptic novel called Contaminants.

The most popular character in the original book is Wen Jianning, a purebred contaminant: an overwhelmingly powerful villain, a born monster, who never takes off her helmet from beginning to end. She is Yan Yuxing's favorite character in the book and was once his emotional anchor while he struggled to survive the apocalypse.

Yan Yuxing's mission is to change the villain's fate.

But after he saves her, the villain turns around and pushes him into the abyss.

Yan Yuxing: "..."

Yan Yuxing spends seven days trapped in the abyss, with only one thought in his mind: once he gets out, he'll kill the villain. He'll chop her up like sashimi.

The one who helps him escape the abyss is the saintly female lead, the least popular character in the original story, whom he'd never even noticed.

The girl is wearing a rescue uniform from the human fortress. She pulls him out of the collapsed abyss and hands him clean water and military rations.

"Don't be afraid," she says, tilting her head to look at him, her eyes shining. "I'll take you home."

Her pure, spotless, angelic smile becomes the warmest light in Yan Yuxing's dark world.

In an instant, he switches from the "villain fan club" to the "saintly heroine fan club," and swears to himself: For the rest of his life, he, Yan Yuxing, will be her dog. Anyone who dares touch her will die. Forget saving the villain. His mission is to kill her and clear the way for the heroine.

Wen Jianning takes a human as her fiance.

She dug this human out of the abyss. Once cleaned up, he was so handsome it was startling: tall and lean, with sharp shoulders and a hard, austere face. He's also strong, and fights enemies like he's chopping vegetables.

Aside from having too much stamina and being far too energetic at night, he's practically the perfect fiance.

His only flaw is that he seems to mistake someone else for her, while mistaking her, a contaminant, for a helpless little flower.

"I'm your fiance. I'll protect you." "If you meet someone called Code M, stay away from them." "All contaminants are born monsters." "I'll kill anyone who stands in your way."

He carefully warns her while braiding her hair into pretty plaits.

Wen Jianning props her chin on her hand and nods earnestly. "O-kay."

"I'll do whatever you say."

Humans really are adorable.

She thinks.

Once he likes her a little more,

she'll kill him.

Flesh, bones, organs... None of it will go to waste.

She'll eat him until her fingers and the corners of her mouth are covered in blood, without leaving behind even a tiny bone fragment. 💗
