The Rumored Lilia

The childhood friend the Third Prince left behind is coming to the capital.

Everyone says the Third Prince is a brilliant scholar and a formidable fighter, and that his dramatic search for his family, exposure of conspiracies, assassination of a duke, defeat of the Demon King, and rescue of the empire make for a legend.

Now that he has returned to the imperial family, all that's left is to choose a father-in-law and be crowned Crown Prince.

For him to apparently choose romance over the empire now would be a real misfortune for the realm.

As the rumors grow more and more outrageous, Lilia sits in her carriage, flipping through a thick box of letters Aurelius sent to the village after defeating the Demon King. In them, he says he wants to return to the village and marry Lilia, that the two of them should roam the world together, and that he can't wait to build a beautiful future with her. She rubs her temples, feeling a headache coming on.
