In a word, I transmigrated.
Into a micro-management game that used to bombard me with ads.
Stupid game. It ruined my youth and wasted my time.
No way. I can't be the only one who suffers.
I'm going to make sure everyone else gets to enjoy the suffering, too.
A worker in another world, putting down roots in Gotham today!
What, Robin the Second and Red Hood? You're coming with me. Forced labor activated. From today on, you're the new greeter!
What, Spider-Man from the multiverse? You're coming with me. Forced labor activated. From today on, you're a maid in a Lolita dress!
What, Gotham's sweetheart prince? You're coming with me. Forced labor activated. From today on, you're the head chef!
What, the kind-hearted Kryptonian orphan? You're coming with me. Forced labor activated. From today on, you're a scrubber in the sauna!
There are no workers you can't recruit, only bosses who don't try hard enough.
Keep it up, Cissy. You're the gutsiest person in the universe.
I've once again started enthusiastically digging myself into a new hole. A DC and other comics crossover. The blurb came to me in a fit of inspiration, so I'll think about revising it later.
The superheroes take turns being workers and customers. They're not all workers. The main point is gleefully making them suffer.
Update schedule is irregular. For now, I'm writing this for love.
First-person narration, a goofy, snarky story. No bitter feuds or sprawling worldbuilding. Just a little sweet treat in Alfred's hands. Logic is dead.
Everyone's relationships are platonic. Whether the heroine has a romantic pairing depends on how things go. There probably won't be much romance, just friendship and family bonds.
But! Since it's told from the heroine's perspective, there will be ships, like Superbat. They're all good friends, though, and it's all platonic. As for the rest, interpret it as you will. The official stuff is wilder than anything I could come up with.
The inspiration came from a WeChat mini-game my sister-in-law has been obsessed with lately. It tricks her into watching ads every day, but she just can't stop playing, and she's come up with lots of fun memes. I wanted to have a go at it, too. (So the protagonist's name is actually my sister-in-law's name, hehe. She's the real-life inspiration.
It's mainly DC, but there will also be appearances from the MCU, Criminal Minds, Good Omens, and other shows, depending on inspiration.
Important: I've been obsessed with DC lately, but I'm not a devoted canon researcher. I've hardly read any complete comic runs. I've only watched the trilogy, BvS and other Zack Snyder films, Lego, some of the Gotham TV series, the Super Sons animated film, World's Finest, Justice League: War, and playthroughs of Arkham, Injustice, and Gotham Knights' Red Hood storyline. I've also read bits and pieces of comics and an incomplete version of Wayne Family Adventures. I'm currently reading comics, mainly ones featuring the Batfamily. I don't know much about Young Justice and the like, so they probably won't feature much. There may be some out-of-character moments. The universe has been rebooted, and there are plenty of Earths, too, so I'm writing the characters based on what I've seen and understood. It's just for fun, so don't flame me.
Marvel is mainly based on the MCU. I haven't read many comics.
I've watched Criminal Minds through season twelve.
X-Men follows the movies.
I'll add more if I think of anything else.
The cover is an avatar I commissioned for my sister-in-law before, so I just used it. I'll replace it when I get a new one.
Theme: Earn a new life through your own efforts
My wife is more and more hungry QAQ
Second Young Master, ah, there will be no follow-up.
Gotham City has simple folk customs, harmonious and friendly Mihua Town
Is the copywriter serious about asking the old bat to be the chef? It's so funny
Occupy the front floor and squat on your butt! It's new food!
