I Didn't Want to Get My Heart Broken, But I Was Forced to Become a Heartbreaker

[Updates daily at 9 p.m., no update on Tuesdays. No need to tell me if you're dropping it~ Pre-orders open in July and August, please add them to your collection.] Wuxi, an utterly ordinary office worker who has never dated, was mocked for being unattractive on her birthday. Clutching her father's keepsake, she sobbed: "Waaah, I want someone to love me unconditionally too!" When she woke up, she learned that her wish had come true. The darker someone's heart, the more they would love her. But this was a loan from the devil, to be repaid with the other person's genuine feelings. Otherwise, their love would turn toxic and plunge her into an inescapable hell. And she had already been dragged into a parallel world full of all kinds of unscientific settings, powers, and mentally ill, obsessive, blackened lunatics, where she had become one poor and helpless orphan. Wuxi burst into tears: "I was drunk and talking nonsense! Let me go back!" The devil laughed mercilessly: "Changing your mind won't help. What a fair and generous deal. Go on, struggle for me." Genuine feelings cancel out false ones. The devil's idea of fairness, all right. Fortunately, any surplus after repaying the loan could be turned into useful abilities or exchanged for magical items. Besides, sincere feelings didn't have to be positive. Compared to love, hate was easier to inspire and lasted longer. If all else failed, she could always try to reform them. And so, to stay alive, Wuxi began her life as a two-timing woman, crafting her persona, making grand promises, changing her mind, and struggling to keep everyone happy. She successfully became Yokohama's biggest shot. The list of victims kept growing: troublemakers from the Slum, an underground doctor, a bandage freak, an honest man who loved collecting jewels, a beauty bent on revenge for love, a kind Russian... Many years later: The devil, who had lost everything: "Damn it, this woman is absolutely an actress and a thrill-seeker. She played me!" ★ Regarding OOC: If you think it's OOC, then it's OOC. I won't discuss it; everyone has a different interpretation. I promise I won't deliberately write characters OOC, but I can't make every character brilliant and satisfy everyone. To spare myself a headache, comments violating this rule will be deleted! ★ The heroine is attracted to men, but when she lies, she goes after men and women alike, with no discrimination. ★ The author won't know who the endgame pairing is until the finale. A solo ending is also possible. Please check out the upcoming story, Five Gojo-Sensei Has Run Out of Options. The first class of students Gojo Satoru taught was a disaster: brutal deaths, defections... one accident and misfortune after another. The sole survivor, Chigusa Yuito, graduated under excessive supervision. She had the title of a sorcerer but only did her duty when she needed money, requiring the strongest sorcerer to carve out precious personal time to keep her in line and set her straight. Despite being identified as having Special Grade potential upon enrollment, she remained a good-for-nothing who couldn't get past Grade 2, even after her much younger junior, Okkotsu Yuta, returned to Special Grade. One day, Shoko, fed up with a fellow alumnus loudly complaining that his students were incompetent and troublesome, said, "Listen, Gojo, you do bear some responsibility for how that girl turned out, don't you?" Gojo Satoru sprang up as if someone had lit a fire under him. "I've done this much, and I'm still getting blamed?" But spoiling someone too much is wrong too. Yuito really was adorable, but she was also awful. She hadn't been like this at the start. Ieiri Shoko stubbed out her cigarette. "You know what you've done." Silence. An eerie silence. In the increasingly strange, oppressive atmosphere, Ieiri Shoko looked at her fellow alumnus's expressionless face as countless memories flashed through her mind. She understood. "You're actually a scumbag, aren't you, Gojo?" Gojo Satoru: "I'm not! If you ask me, this is all Yuito's fault~" # The strongest sorcerer was sealed inside the Prison Realm, and Tokyo became a demon realm overnight. The students and their allies put everything they had into freeing him. Among them, Chigusa Yuito's sudden burst of decisiveness and reliability was deeply moving. "You really do have a clear potential to become Special Grade, senpai." Reliable student Okkotsu Yuta had grown mature enough to be the one to push his teacher's senior into shape. "You just need a little more resolve." "Can you stop bringing up Special Grade? Whenever I hear that term now, I feel like throwing up." "Uh, what's wrong?" Chigusa Yuito opened the text Gojo Satoru had sent her before entering the Shibuya Barrier and shoved her phone screen in front of Okkotsu Yuta. [Yuito, get your act together soon~ I've lowered the bar for you. All you have to do is become Special Grade. If you can do that, I'll confess to you, just like you wanted.] Okkotsu Yuta looked as if he were turning to stone and cracking apart. Chigusa Yuito scrolled down to show him the thousand-word tirade she'd fired off in five or six long messages. It stopped Okkotsu Yuta from saying, "I don't think he was joking." The logic was airtight. She wouldn't believe him! Best to wait until their teacher got out and explain it himself. But he never imagined that things would eventually spiral into an uncontrollable abyss, and that the event that ended it all would be a grand, cathartic confession from Chigusa Yuito. Theme: Love should grow in an equal and healthy environment.
