Even Teacher Gojo Is Out of Ideas

The first class of students taught by 5T5 was a disaster: tragic deaths, defections, dropouts… One misfortune after another. The sole survivor, Chigusa Yuito, graduated under excessive supervision. She had the title of sorcerer, but only did her job when she needed money. The strongest sorcerer had to carve out precious personal time to keep an eye on her and correct her. Even so, despite being identified as having special-grade potential when she enrolled, she remained a good-for-nothing stuck at Grade 2 until her junior, Okkotsu Yuta, returned to special grade several graduating classes later. One day, Ieiri Shoko grew tired of listening to her fellow sorcerers complain about their useless, troublesome students. “Listen, Gojo, you’re partly responsible for that girl turning out like this, you know.” 5T5 sprang up as if his tail had been set on fire. “I’ve done this much, and I still get blamed?” Yes, he’d tried hard. But being too strict was wrong, and so was spoiling her. He’d managed to do both. Yuito really was adorable, but she could also be a real pain. At first, she hadn’t been like this. Ieiri Shoko stubbed out her cigarette. “You know perfectly well.” Silence. An eerie silence. As the atmosphere grew more and more oppressive, Ieiri Shoko looked at her classmate’s expressionless face, and countless memories flashed through her mind. She understood. “You really are a scumbag, Gojo.” With a flippant smile like a mask, 5T5 said, “It’s all Yuito’s fault.” * Chigusa Yuito was a hopeless student. She slacked off from the day she enrolled until the day she graduated, and afterward treated her mentor as a safety net, sleeping soundly in the eye of the storm. Not only that, she loved him, but cherished that love as a source of private comfort, convinced that it had nothing to do with him. She was a self-deceiving fool. And yet she heard a recently acquainted assistant supervisor let slip the truth after a few drinks: “Chigusa, I understand. Being so close to Gojo since you were students must’ve been tough. That guy’s a complete monster.” Thinking back on everything about 5T5, Chigusa Yuito thought that he wasn’t exactly normal, but she was unquestionably the real monster. Everything about her, from her birth and experiences to the reason she’d chosen an ordinary life, would leave people speechless. With that in mind, Chigusa Yuito couldn’t help believing she needed to hide her monstrous self even more deeply. Otherwise, this quiet, mundane daily life would be torn apart as easily as fragile oil paper. But disaster came crashing in like a tidal wave, and she was the first to glimpse the signs of upheaval. So should she turn the tide like a monster, or pretend not to know and wait for calm to return once it was all over? ★Pairing: 5T5. There will be lots of interaction while they remain teacher and student, but it’s platonic. This story has a lot of 5T5, but the romance isn’t established until the middle or later. ★The story will delve deeply into the characters of Jujutsu Kaisen, especially 5T5, and includes a lot of original plot. There’s no deliberate attempt to ruin anyone’s character, but there are some personal interpretations, so I can’t guarantee it’ll match everyone’s expectations. If there’s debate about that in the comments, I may delete them to save myself the headache. Theme: Everyone is free to choose their own life
