Lingering Warmth [Showbiz]

It all began with Jiang Xuning taking revenge on Yang Zixin.

That day, Yang Zixin announced her relationship on social media from abroad. That very night, Zhou Yishen began a year-long "romance" contract with Jiang Xuning.

Later, Yang Zixin returned to China, and the person Zhou Yishen wanted revenge on became Jiang Xuning.

He didn't understand why the woman he'd once used as a tool could now make him insanely jealous whenever he saw her interacting with any man, until all he wanted was to keep her to himself.

At last, one day, a friend opened his eyes: "If it's just your possessiveness making you want revenge on her, why not do what you did to Yang Zixin and give your whole heart and body to another woman? Why keep your distance from the woman you've loved from afar for decades?"

"Isn't it far more likely that you fell in love with her from the very beginning?"

"Impossible," he replied without hesitation.

Jiang Xuning fell for him halfway through their one-year contract.

When the contract ended, she and Zhou Yishen became complete strangers.

In the chaotic entertainment industry, she watched Zhou Yishen and Yang Zixin show off their love every day as if she were reading a sugary romance.

But why, on that day, did the male lead from that sweet romance corner her like a madman, eyes bloodshot, and order her word by word: "Jiang Xuning, say you love me."

By then, her heart was still as water as she looked at the man before her. "What would I love about you? That you're old, that you're dirty, or that for a whole year you thought of someone else every single time?"
