It Started with a Fake Marriage to Scotland

Kageyama Sayuki, a narcotics control officer in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Special Investigation Division, was investigating a mysterious drug that seemed similar to one developed by the now-defunct Shirahato Pharmaceuticals, which went bankrupt 25 years ago. Under the alias Yuzuhara Yuki, she successfully infiltrated the Karasuma Group as a secretary, the company that had acquired Shirahato Pharmaceuticals.

During her undercover work, she singled out a suspicious target who might possess important information. While eavesdropping, she learned that the target's codename was "Scotch."

Scotch was actually undercover agent Hiromitsu Morofushi. While investigating the Organization, he discovered a key figure who seemed closely connected to it: Yuzuhara Yuki, the Karasuma Group's star secretary.

To get close to Scotch and obtain information...

To get close to Yuzuhara Yuki and obtain information...

The two independently staged "chance encounters" using the same ploy and, quite naturally, "fell in love at first sight."

Then they submitted their marriage registration, of course...

Using fake names, and solely to keep a closer eye on each other.

And so their sham married life began...

*

A love story about two people who each think the other is on the black side, put on an act and test each other every day, then eventually discover that they're both on the red side and turn their fake relationship into a real one.

[A few notes]

*Narcotics control officer means an officer who enforces drug laws.

*This should be a short-to-medium-length story. It'll end when they really get married.

*Inspired by the otome game Bible (x), Red and Black.

*There are a ton of personal interpretations. The old man's left too many things unexplained, so I'm filling in the gaps (not really). I hope I can finish this before he reveals the mysteries and proves me wrong.

*I thought Hiromitsu looked incredibly cool while undercover, so I got fired up and wrote this blurb.

*That's all for now! I'll make changes as needed.
