My Childhood Friend, the Young County Magistrate

Pei Zhiyuan, the new top scholar, turned down the princess's affection and volunteered to serve as a county magistrate in this remote little town, all for his childhood sweetheart.

A new county magistrate has arrived in Liangzhou. He's not only handsome, but also this year's top scholar, stirring the hearts of all the unmarried young women in this remote region.

But the magistrate is cold and unsparing, and he has broken the hearts of countless young women waiting to be married.

What they don't know is that at night, he hides under the covers and cries. He's the one who's most heartbroken of all.

All because his childhood sweetheart said, "We're not right for each other."

Ye Jinxin looks at the person before her, radiant and refined, impossible to look away from.

They were childhood sweethearts.

Now,

one is the daughter of a convicted official, exiled with her parents to a remote region.

The other is the daughter of the prime minister, a new top scholar with a brilliant future.

They are destined to be worlds apart.

When Ye Jinxin says, word by word, "We're not right for each other," she makes Pei Zhiyuan give up, and puts an end to her own hopes, too.

Pei Zhiyuan, then I'll serve as this county magistrate and stay by your side for the rest of my life.

Theme: Childhood sweetheart, oh childhood sweetheart, then let's stay tangled up for a lifetime.
