Before Our Divorce Agreement, My Wife's First Love Came Back

Blurb One:

Song Yunru and Ye Yixian married under an agreement. For three years, they treated each other with icy politeness.

The agreement expires in three months.

Ye Yixian pushes a divorce agreement in front of Song Yunru. "Let's get divorced!"

Song Yunru (smugly): "I don't think our agreed divorce date has arrived yet. Please show a little respect for the contract, Teacher Ye. Not a second early."

Ye Yixian: "I'll put up with it!"

In private, President Song sobs: My wife's first love is back, and now she wants to dump me. No way!!!!

Three months later, Ye Yixian pushes another divorce agreement in front of Song Yunru. "The time is up. Let's get divorced!"

Song Yunru tears up the agreement. "Agreement? What agreement?"

Ye Yixian (furious): "What happened to that president's talk of respecting contracts?"

Song Yunru (shamelessly): "What's contract spirit? Is it better than having a wife? Is it soft and sweet like a wife? Ever heard of someone making grand promises just to get married?"

Blurb Two:

You've heard of people making grand promises every day to get married.

But have you heard of anyone making grand promises every day to get divorced?

Song Yunru: "Honey, we're about to get divorced, and we've never even watched a movie together."

Ye Yixian: "All right, let's watch one."

Song Yunru: "Honey, we're about to get divorced, and we've never gone on a trip together."

Ye Yixian: "All right, let's travel."

Song Yunru: "Honey, we're about to get divorced, and we've never taken wedding photos."

Ye Yixian: "All right, let's take some."

Song Yunru: "Honey, we're about to get divorced, and we still haven't..."

Ye Yixian (furious): "Here, take the pen. You can make all the promises you want. I just want a divorce."

Song Yunru: "I'll keep making promises, but there's no way we're getting divorced."

Theme: Being there for someone is the most enduring declaration of love.
