Song Miao was never quite right from childhood. He never followed the rules and did whatever he pleased.
After starting college, he fell in love at first sight with an upperclassman in his department. Awkward and gloomy, he chose the worst possible way to pursue him: stalking.
Every day, he followed his senior to class and went to great lengths to stage “chance” encounters.
He secretly collected things his senior had used, treasuring empty bottles like priceless keepsakes.
He saved up to rent the apartment across the street, watched his senior’s shadow through the curtains, and snickered to himself as he stared.
He happily played the part of a proper little villain, until one day his senior brought home two kittens.
Through his binoculars, Song Miao saw the cats sleeping on his senior’s bare chest.
He was so jealous he nearly went mad.
If only he were a cat.
He wouldn’t have to scheme and plan everything. He’d only need to jump into his senior’s arms, and his senior would stroke his head and gently call him “kitty.”
Song Miao’s wish came true. He actually turned into a cat.
Overcome with excitement, he stopped his senior and let out a trembling little “meow.”
After sneaking into his senior’s home, Song Miao the cat made no effort whatsoever to behave.
The very first second he set paw in the place, he excitedly raced around with his dirty paws. Only afterward did he pretend to realize his mistake and hide under the sofa, afraid of being thrown out.
His round black eyes followed his senior everywhere. Wherever his senior went, he would turn around and find the kitten looking right at him.
After a busy day, his senior finally finished cleaning and lay down on the bed.
Song Miao, who had spent the whole day spying on him, edged over from the sofa and sprang onto his chest with a thump.
As he jumped, he meowed, “Other cats get to lie there, so why can’t I?”
His senior nearly had the breath knocked out of him, but looking at the kitten pretending to be composed, he could only sigh and put up with it.
The kitten blinked his big round eyes and met his senior’s affectionate gaze. He suddenly understood: Being a naughty kitty was this much fun!?
Looking at the naughty kitty’s utterly unapologetic expression,
Gu Chao rubbed his ears and smiled. “You’re a little brat, Miao Miao.”
Song Miao bared his teeth as if he were about to bite Gu Chao’s hand. “Don’t call me a naughty kitty!”
No one can resist a naughty kitty.
