When the Villain NPC in a Sweet Romance Gained Consciousness

This story has been restarted!!!!

Under the [In Progress] section, here's the new blurb:

[The mutual attraction between a poor male college student and a top tycoon, with the original leads as mere background characters]

Lu Chen is a villainous NPC in a sweet campus romance.

Like the countless other NPCs, his sole purpose is to move the plot along and heat things up between the male and female leads.

In short, he's a tool.

The kind of tool whose ashes are scattered just to set the mood for the leads.

But one day, NPC Lu Chen suddenly became self-aware.

[In the book, Lu Chen acts like the male lead's sworn brother to his face, while secretly making up and spreading all kinds of dirt about him.]

Lu Chen: Oh, this could be fun.

[In the book, Lu Chen drugs the female lead. After his crime is exposed, he jumps off a bridge and dies.]

Lu Chen: ...Goodbye!

After becoming self-aware, Lu Chen decides to stay away from the plot. But he forgets that the male lead has an older brother who's fiercely protective of him!

When the male lead's brother discovers the dirty tricks Lu Chen has been pulling behind his back, Lu Chen gets called in for a talk.

The man is dressed in an expensive suit, yet sits on the cramped sofa of a milk tea shop, tapping his knuckles against the report in his hand.

“Promiscuous relationships...”

In a voice so smooth it could rival no other, the man lists Lu Chen's transgressions one by one.

Lu Chen's gaze lands on the man's priceless Patek Philippe watch. He raises an eyebrow.

Seeing this, the man's narrow, phoenix-shaped eyes narrow dangerously.

But Lu Chen just smiles, slides the pour-over coffee he has just made in front of the man, leans in slightly, and suggests, “Want to talk?”

Only then does Fu Yanzhou take a proper look at the young man before him. His handsome features are relaxed and easy, and though there's a smile playing on his lips, he doesn't come across as flippant or frivolous.

In the end, Lu Chen, now self-aware, never tries anything with the female lead, yet successfully ends up in bed with the male lead's older brother.

Male lead: Do I need to thank you or what!

Theme: Always face life with enthusiasm
