(Top's perspective)
He Ruguan had been frail since birth, so his parents sent him to be raised at a Taoist temple. At seventeen, he came down the mountain to visit his family, only to learn that his older sister, who was supposed to enter the palace selection, had run away from home the night before.
The law of the dynasty stipulated that any official or commoner family that concealed a daughter during the selection and failed to send her forward would be punished by death.
The palace eunuch was already waiting outside. Facing his parents, who clung to each other and wept, and the two coffins laid out in the main hall, He Ruguan could only grit his teeth, put on women's clothes and jewelry, and take his sister's place in the palace.
He had planned to use a little trickery and medicine to make himself appear to suffer from a hidden ailment, then leave without a fuss. But the matron in charge of the examination took one look at him and fawned, "An important person gave the order. Miss He is naturally beautiful and exceptionally gifted, so she can pass directly."
He Ruguan: "..."
An important person? More like an enemy! When he finally met the damned troublemaker who had ruined everything, he'd make them pay!
But when he actually met that person, all his anger vanished. He only wanted to lure the extremely handsome little eunuch into bed and lavish affection on him.

(Bottom's perspective)
Qiu Shuangman has lived two lives.
In his previous life, he personally had Consort He Rukou killed and earned a reputation as a virtuous eunuch. From then on, he rose quickly through the ranks. Only late at night, when no one else was around, would he face the direction where Lady He had passed away and reflect on the kindness she had shown him.
Reborn into a new life, Qiu Shuangman resolves to scheme at every turn, become a powerful and corrupt eunuch, and help Lady He become empress.
At last, when the young lady entered the palace selection at seventeen, Qiu Shuangman had made careful plans to help her enter the palace smoothly. But among the candidates from respectable families, he unexpectedly spotted a particularly tall and striking "woman" glaring at him with a resentful look.
Qiu Shuangman: "???"
Could it be that even the heavens disapproved of his defying fate? Why else would something go wrong and make the young lady in this life so... imposing?

A gorgeous top and a cute bottom. The bottom is a real eunuch.
A lighthearted, brainless little sweet treat. Set in an alternate world, so don't expect it to stand up to historical scrutiny.
Theme: Accepting each other's imperfections.
