Daily Life in the Primeval Beast World

In the primitive era, conquest was not yet the focus of the beastmen's lives. Survival was.

On this continent, where no cities had yet been built, the beastmen of every tribe still gathered in clans to keep one another warm, struggling through a bitter winter with no end in sight. Many cubs born during this time had barely ever seen a green plant.

Then one day, another cub was born in a tribe in the southwest of the continent.

The post-Beastmen Era records: In the forty-seventh year of the Beast Calendar, the inventor of the heated kang bed during the Age of Deep Winter, the eternal hope of the Gopher Tribe, the leader who guided the White Lion Tribe toward city-state civilization, the explorer of the forbidden ocean, and the brightest treasure of this primitive age was born at that very moment.

Outside, snow falls without end. A cold-hardy little beast leaves a trail of footprints in the snow. Inside, the tiny baby destined to bear all those titles sleeps by the bonfire, smacking his lips. Comforted by his beastman father, he shifts position and continues sleeping soundly.

P.S. A slice-of-life child-rearing story, set in a primitive beastman world with settlement-building and farming.

P.P.S. The cub's beast form is a feline, but the author hasn't decided which kind yet. His love interest is the little childhood friend next door.

Theme: No matter how hard life gets, keep surviving with resilience and optimism.
