Spiritual Qi Revival, But It's Cats

After a car accident, Jiang Nian woke up again as a kitten named Jiang Xiaonian. His owner was an ordinary college guy who seemed completely unremarkable. Jiang Nian's eyes clouded with memories. The reason he only seemed unremarkable had to do with a certain rainy day. After that rain, his owner Jiang Yue suddenly burst into flames while sleeping one night. The fire destroyed the entire bed and smoke blackened half the bedroom, but Jiang Yue was still full of life. He even rescued Jiang Nian from the fire, where he had nearly choked to death. Later, Jiang Yue was recruited by an organization called the Superpower Bureau. He began living a remarkable double life, disappearing mysteriously every day, attending classes by day and saving the world at night. And he, Jiang Xiaonian, a kitten who seemed just as unremarkable, also began his journey to conquer the entire underworld after meeting his boyfriend, the leader of a stray cat gang! Then one day, Jiang Xiaonian, who by then had become one of the two kings of the underworld alongside his boyfriend, happened to rescue his owner Jiang Yue and his colleagues from the Superpower Bureau while asserting his authority in an ordinary incident. Meeting the other's stunned gaze, Jiang Xiaonian thought he might need to say something, and fast. Jiang Yue had always thought he was just an unremarkable college student who happened to have a cat named Jiang Xiaonian. That was until a heavy rainstorm passed and he unexpectedly awakened a fire-based superpower, then joined the Superpower Bureau. From then on, he began living a remarkable double life, disappearing mysteriously every day, attending classes by day and saving the world at night, with feeding the cat on the side. Then one day, while on a mission with his colleagues from the Superpower Bureau, he and the others were trapped in a corner of the city by a surging tide of rats. The situation was dire. But when a commanding meow sounded in everyone's ears, the rat tide retreated like the sea. Jiang Yue thought the meow sounded familiar. He abruptly looked up and met a pair of round cat eyes. Jiang Xiaonian! What are you doing here? And who's that stray cat beside you! 1. The protagonist and main viewpoint character is the cat Jiang Nian, though there are also occasional chapters from Jiang Yue's point of view. 2. Jiang Yue may or may not have a love interest. Even if he does, there won't be much detailed focus on it. 3. Jiang Nian and his cat-king boyfriend may or may not turn into humans. Even if they do, it will probably happen in the latter half of the story or in the bonus chapters. Theme: In adversity, stand together and never abandon your humanity or your convictions.
