A Young Maiden's Longing

A scheming playboy rogue x a seemingly delicate, but secretly cunning young woman

Ruan Xiang was abandoned by her childhood sweetheart. Left covered in wounds and pursued by her enemies, she had no choice but to flee from place to place.

With nowhere else to turn, Ruan Xiang reluctantly sought refuge with the notorious young playboy of the capital, Li Yingzhan, Prince of Chengnan.

Li Yingzhan had no achievements or official rank and was notorious for his lustful ways. Everyone despised him, and his very existence was a thorn in the current emperor's side.

When they first met, Li Yingzhan made an improper advance toward her. Ruan Xiang naturally disliked such a lecher, but her injuries had yet to heal, so she had no choice but to depend on him.

Ruan Xiang was constantly on edge in his manor, acting with caution. Though she humored Li Yingzhan to his face, she kept thinking that one day she would kill him.

Yet whenever she met that gaze that always seemed to conceal ill intent, Ruan Xiang felt she couldn't see through him. Only later did she discover that his frivolous behavior and reputation as a womanizer were a facade. In truth, he was quietly lying low and biding his time.

So she became even more cautious, and the two struck a deal.

In exchange, he taught Ruan Xiang the skills she needed to survive and get by, then avenged every wrong done to her...
