#The Ghost Hunter in a Horror Game#
#A Truly Perfect Match for the Job#
What's it like when a professional ghost hunter gets dropped into a horror game?
Yin Cha can tell you from experience: It's fun and lucrative.
Yin Cha was a ghost hunter with few clients and barely enough to eat.
After an accident dropped her into a horror game, the eerie atmosphere around her terrified countless novice players. But Yin Cha, visiting for the first time, felt right at home.
She hadn't been happy for long before she was forcibly bound to a ghost-wishes system. The tasks it gave her were complicated and difficult, and it even threatened to launch her into the sky and blow her up like fireworks if she didn't complete them in time.
Yin Cha's response: "Brave Cha Cha isn't afraid of hardships!"
And so Yin Cha began a wonderful new life, charging people to exorcise ghosts, charging ghosts to fulfill their wishes, and completing her tasks along the way.
Yin Cha thought she could keep enjoying this rich lady's life forever. Then one day, by chance, she met a pitiful ghost. The other ghosts didn't like getting near him, and he didn't even have enough ghostly energy to protect himself. Out of a sense of human decency, Yin Cha accepted his wish.
But would a wish to destroy the world really get approved?
Unable to fulfill the wish, Yin Cha found that this ghost followed her everywhere. At last, she could take it no longer and filed a request with the System.
Yin Cha: "I want to give up the task."
System: "Request denied."
Yin Cha: "Then blow me up."
System: "Request denied."
Yin Cha: "Can't this ghost just change his wish?"
System: "Request approved. Changing the wish to: Host, fall in love with him."
Yin Cha: "???"
Rong Heng was the mighty Ghost King. Every ghost in the game was under his rule, yet he hated this damned game. It had trapped him here for countless millennia. He wanted to break free and destroy everything.
But he couldn't. He couldn't even destroy himself. All he could do was go on living in misery, listening to the ghosts wail every day and watching the players turn on one another.
Until one day, he heard a clear, gentle voice unlike any other. The voice was soft and sweet. Beside a ghost drenched in blood and gore, its owner showed no fear or disgust, only a sweet smile as she asked, "Hey, ghost, need any help?"
"I do." He replied before he could stop himself. From that moment on, he and she became bound together in a bond that could never be broken.
The woman in the red wedding dress: "Have you heard? The Ghost King has gotten himself tangled up with a girl."
The headless ghost picked up his own head. "Keep your voice down. If he hears you, you're dead."
The butcher ground his knife in grievance. "I saw them. I was just about to bow to him when he hit me."
The old woman kept embroidering her handkerchief. "From now on, pretend you don't see anything. The Ghost King doesn't need you telling him how to act."
