Ji Lu, the Ji family's cherished young master and a publicly recognized top student, got into a car accident at eighteen, during his final year of high school. He was in a coma for two whole months.
When he woke up in the hospital, he had lost his memories of the past two years, including all the knowledge he needed for the college entrance exams.
With no other choice, his family spent a fortune sending him to a prestigious high school on the other side of the city, where he started over in his second year.
One day, bored out of his mind, Ji Lu returned to an alley in his old school's neighborhood, hoping to find a noodle shop he remembered as delicious. Instead, he ran into the kind of people he least wanted to get involved with in this life: street punks.
Then he saw a particularly tall punk... uh, surrounding four or five people all by himself.
After the brawl, the tall punk stood among the bruised and battered bodies sprawled on the ground and turned to stare at him.
He was polite enough to introduce himself: his name was Song Qiandong.
The punk walked up to Ji Lu, who had spent two months in bed and was now as thin as a Pocky stick, looked down at him, and asked him to keep what he had witnessed a secret.
Ji Lu rolled his eyes and smirked. "Let me think about it."
In the second week of the new school year, Ji Lu found out why that street punk named Song Qiandong was so polite.
Because he was a high school student too.
...And Ji Lu's desk mate.
So, in the third week of school, Ji Lu and Song Qiandong peacefully signed a secret gentleman's agreement.
1. Ji Lu would help the academically hopeless Song Qiandong with all his schoolwork.
2. Song Qiandong would protect Ji Lu, who was still recovering from a serious illness, whenever he went out.
3. Ji Lu would keep it secret that Song Qiandong skipped class to hang around the streets.
4. Song Qiandong would keep it secret that Ji Lu was trying to recover his memories from the past two years.
5. To avoid gossip, they would pretend they didn't know each other at school.
6. Ji Lu and Song Qiandong would always be nothing more than partners. There could be no other feelings between them.
Whoever broke the rules first would be a dog.
Later, in the second semester of their first year of high school, Ji Lu couldn't take it anymore.
He went to Song Qiandong to come clean.
Ji Lu: "I might have to start barking."
Song Qiandong: "Huh?"
Ji Lu: "I broke our gentleman's agreement."
Song Qiandong raised an eyebrow. "Which rule?"
Ji Lu gave a wry smile. "The last one."
Song Qiandong chuckled. "Still cracking jokes, Young Master Ji."
Ji Lu was earnest. "I'm serious. I think I might like you."
Song Qiandong was silent for a long while. Then he said, "Woof."
Ji Lu: "...???"
A seemingly well-behaved, top student and young master who is secretly wild at heart, a sly, flirtatious bottom x a seemingly fierce, taciturn punk who is actually a devoted, lovestruck, restrained yandere top
[Reader's Guide]
1. The bottom isn't a conventional good-boy student, and the top isn't actually a street punk.
2. Both characters are adults when they fall in love.
