Little Xia

Before Zhou Wendong, Xia had loved someone else.

His name was Ling Xiao. He was a carefree, dashing boy. They often saw each other, but they weren't childhood friends. Xia was actually the younger sister of Ling Xiao's classmate, so they weren't closely related.

When she was little, Xia didn't like Ling Xiao very much. She hated how he always tugged on her braids and smudged her face, and she didn't understand why, as he grew older, he was always trying to kiss her on the lips.

He said it meant he liked her, and Xia foolishly believed him.

But that same man, who had promised to love her for the rest of his life, lit a cigarette and complained mockingly to his friends: "It was just for fun. If my mom didn't like her, do you think I'd give her a second glance?"
