Western Regions Princess x Young General
The small Western Regions kingdom of Zhouyang has been a key transportation hub since ancient times, and the various nations have fought endlessly to seize control of it.
The only daughter of Zhouyang's king, Princess Chihua of Xiaoshan, is stunningly beautiful, clever, and kind. She learned to weave at eight, captivated all around with a dance at nine, studied Chinese at ten, and at twelve, veiled and riding a camel, she traveled to Chang'an with a caravan, carrying a pipa and returning with a wealth of precious goods. The people adore her.
On her way home, she encounters bandits and is unfortunately taken captive.
While escaping, she meets a red-clad young man who has been drugged with a powerful Western Regions concoction. Out of kindness, Chihua does everything she can to save him.
The two flee together. Chihua is drawn to him, and learns that his Central Plains name is Meng Jiu'an. He has traveled in the Western Regions with his parents since childhood, trading silk, and knows every nation there like the back of his hand.
Kind-hearted Chihua promises to meet him again in the Western Regions before they part.
Only later does she learn that his name is not Meng Jiu'an, and that he is no merchant. He is Pei Zhan, the Grand General Who Guards the Far East, a man whose name strikes terror into every nation of the Western Regions.
At fifteen, the iron armies of the Central Plains charge straight for the Western Regions' vital passage. Zhouyang falls into internal strife, and the king is murdered by Chihua's uncle. Everything hangs by a thread.
Threatened by her uncle, Princess Chihua has no choice but to take off her dancing clothes, put down her pipa, don armor, and face the enemy.
On the battlefield, Chihua stands atop the city wall, gripping a blade and glaring furiously at the young general leading the Central Plains cavalry.
Rumor has it that he has never lost a battle, is ruthless in his methods, and is feared by enemy troops. He is also the object of dread for every nation in the Western Regions.
Young General Pei Zhan, clad in armor and holding a long sword, sits astride his horse and stares arrogantly at Chihua on the wall.
