Tian Mi was the famous beauty of the cigarette factory.
She had only just come of age when the suitors started lining up at her family's door, wearing down the threshold.
Shen Tao, the son of a distillery owner, pursued her most aggressively. He showered her with big-ticket gifts like electric fans and radios, insisting she take them even when she didn't want to. Just as everyone decided he seemed like a good match and expected the marriage to be arranged, Tian Mi's older sister, Tian Xin, called off her engagement.
The engagement had been arranged by the older generation when they were children. The Tian family couldn't go back on their word, so Tian Mi's grandfather asked if she was willing to marry in her sister's place.
Tian Mi didn't want to put her beloved grandfather in a difficult position, so she agreed.
She had admired soldiers since she was little. Marrying an officer had to be better than marrying a rich playboy who did nothing but chase women.
Tian Mi gave up the factory director's son and chose to go to a godforsaken island. Everyone thought she was foolish.
Her mother even grabbed her ear and forbade her to marry.
"It's such a miserable place. You won't be able to stand it. And once you're there, you won't be able to come back!"
"What if Jian Huai dies? You'll be a widow!"
"Shen Tao is a good man. Just marry him."
Her mother pleaded with her at length, but Tian Mi wouldn't listen. After thanking her for her concern, Tian Mi shouldered her bag and headed to Wangshi Island.
Everyone felt sorry for her, convinced her life was over.
Tian Xin felt guilty too, but she had been reborn. There was no way she was going to an island to wait for a husband who might never return.
She would never marry that man again, the one harder and fouler than a rock in a latrine. This time, she would stay in the city and enjoy a good life.
But Tian Mi's life on the island wasn't miserable at all. It was rich in supplies and full of beautiful scenery. She could eat seafood to her heart's content and sleep in as long as she liked. What was there not to like?
The only problem was that the man at home became more and more clingy. At first he came home once a month, then once every two weeks, and eventually every day.
With her aching back in her hands, Tian Mi was starting to feel she couldn't take it anymore.

Message: Love life and cherish it.
I really hate Tian Xin. I can understand her vanity, lack of love, and selfishness. She can do whatever she likes without causing trouble to other people, or breaking the law, but she just likes to drag others into trouble. The pretty young lady is a bit pretentious but has a sense of proportion. She is actually quite cute, but seeking death makes people irritated. It is really important to be self-aware in life!
After passing the Tian family map, I changed it to the Jian family map, right?
Tian Mi, a little daughter who is emotionally blackmailed by everyone
I kind of miss Tian Xin's fate.
Dropping the kitchen knife is so dangerous.
This book made me angry. . . . . . .
The further you go, the more childish you feel. Is this because love makes people childish? Haha 🐶
