As everyone knows, Yixiao is the best robotic explorer around. In just five years, she single-handedly explored three uninhabited planets, discovering hundreds of new species and an energy source capable of ushering in another technological revolution for the Alliance. Everyone at the research institute believes she will become the first robot in history to receive an Alliance medal.
But on the eve of the Alliance's medal ceremony, she went missing.
When people found her, her artificial skin had been devoured, and both her main chip and memory storage system had completely failed inside her rusted body. The only thing that remained intact was the pendant she had clasped protectively in her hand.
No one knew it had been given to her by Xu Xianyue, the hottest star in the entertainment industry.
Five years earlier, she had been a little robot who wanted nothing more than to stay by Xu Xianyue's side forever.
"Xianyue, you must be the only moon in the world."
But Xu Xianyue was as cool and distant as her name suggested. She would never fall in love with a little robot whose head was full of data. Even when sending the little robot away, she maintained her innate elegance and courtesy.
"There has never been a moon over Capital Star, and I will never be the moon you speak of."
Three months after the medal ceremony, Xu Xianyue finally put an end to five years of endurance. With a knife still dripping with blood in her hand, she leaped from the heights.
In the last second before losing consciousness, she glimpsed the bright full moon of ancient Earth legend:
"Now, the moon is coming to you."
