I Am the Immortal Venerable's Darling

On a little hill on Mount Yuqiong, a group of little divine beasts held a meeting.

A short-legged, fluffy gray-and-white kitten stood at the top of the tall hill. It stomped its plump, fuzzy little paws hard against the ground. "Meow! Meow meow meow meow meow!"

I! Chi Mianmian! Am the Immortal Venerable's one and only spirit pet. This mountain belongs to my Immortal Venerable, and I'm your leader. From now on, you'll all listen to me! Got it?

The little gray mask markings on the kitten's face and its big, round eyes were impossibly sweet. Its meows were soft and adorable, but none of the other little divine beasts below were afraid of it!

A tiger cub roared, "The Immortal Venerable doesn't keep spirit pets! You can't fool us! Call us Big Brother and we'll take you to eat meat!"

The kitten was displeased. "What's so good about meat? The spirit fruits and spirit herbs the Immortal Venerable grows are much tastier!"

The other little spirit beasts all laughed at it. What kind of cat didn't eat meat? It was a disgrace to all beasts!

Suddenly, a beam of golden light flew in from afar. The pressure of immortal energy frightened the little divine beasts so much that their fur stood on end and they fell silent.

Only Chi Mianmian held its fluffy little head high, waiting for the owner of the golden light to pick it up.

A tall, slender figure landed beside Chi Mianmian. The incomparably noble man bent down and scooped the fluffy little creature off the ground, gently scolding it. "You snuck out again."
