The Tale of Princess Xiao Qing

[1]

The country fell, her family was destroyed, and her beloved betrayed her.

Xiaoqing, princess of the Great Yun Empire, had spent the first half of her life surrounded by luxury and affection.

But fate took a sudden turn. When her homeland lay in ruins, Princess Xiaoqing had no choice but to sacrifice herself for the people.

She thought that was how her life would end, full of resentment and regret.

But the phoenix cries across the heavens, and the phoenix soars through the four corners of the world.

"Do not give up. You have a mission to fulfill."

"Princess, as long as I am here, you can do it."

What fate would the fiery red phoenix-tail jade pendant around her slender neck bring her?

If everything began anew, as she faced the tangled grudges of her past life and the many choices of this one,

would she be able to transform from carefree Princess Xiaoqing into the guardian princess of the Great Yun Empire?

It is said that the Great Yun Empire once possessed a sacred heirloom capable of changing the fate of the nation. But the treasure had been lost for decades, ever since the death of an ancestor. Now, as the Great Yun Empire teetered on the brink of collapse, its last princess, Princess Xiaoqing, watched her parents die for their country. She fled the palace and saw a land ravaged by war, desolate as far as the eye could see.

Was she destined to suffer betrayal by everyone she loved?

To save her country, Princess Xiaoqing, Yun Si, heeded a mysterious summons, accepted the trials fate had laid out for her, and endured ten lifetimes of tribulations.

Protected by her confidants and loyal ministers, she finally defied fate and changed her destiny.

With fate rewritten, in the seventeenth year of the Great Yun Empire, Yun Si ascended the throne as empress. The four quarters paid tribute, and the world was united.
