The World's Number One Cat

In the dead of night, Zero Kiryu struggled to suppress his thirst for blood, his face twisted with pain.

Just as his fangs broke through his restraint, a cat in the corner, disturbed by the noise, let out an annoyed meow and flashed across the room.

And his fangs snapped.

Zero Kiryu: ???

The Sword of Damocles above the Red King was on the verge of falling. The pressure of the descending sword, high above in the untouchable sky, left every member of HOMRA and Scepter 4 drenched in cold sweat.

Reisi Munakata's hand closed around his sword hilt.

"Meow!!!"

An irate meow came from somewhere nearby. Xiao Mi, who had recently become a favorite of the Red King, charged over and leaped onto Mikoto Suoh's head, baring its teeth at the sky.

And the Sword of Damocles instantly went quiet as a mouse.

Mikoto Suoh: ?

All the hostility he'd been building up over the past few days peaked when he saw the little girl, dressed in rags and covered in purple bruises. The Curse User's fingers twitched.

The next second, a white shadow darted out from behind him. Every curse he'd summoned was kicked away by a white ragdoll cat that looked tiny and sweet.

Suguru Geto watched the cat leap and bound, kicking one villager after another, and slowly formed a question mark.

Bonus scene:

Xiao Mi, who punched the strongest and kicked vampires, let out an instinctively sweet meow when it saw the brown-haired boy.

Everyone with cat paw prints on their feet watched the cat purr and happily let him pet and cuddle it: ...Who are you?

Xiao Mi, who'd seen the boy punch its adored Uncle Cat into a flattened pork patty: Cute and well-behaved.JPG.
