An R Card That Packs a Punch

Blurb screenshot from October 1, 2022 Will be revised Cover by my friend Shuimuhuo. Go praise them! * "Immortal Path," a traditional Chinese fantasy card-collecting game. The player character is a junior disciple of the Sword Sect. By drawing cards, she collects the healer senior brother, the powerhouse damage-dealing senior sister... Then they all go fight the Demon Lord. Qin Chaomu doesn't get it. She's just a hapless programmer at Immortal Path, pulling overtime day after day. After knocking over three bosses on her way to the cafeteria to grab a meal, she misses a step on the stairs and tumbles into the game, reborn there. * The good news: she's the powerhouse senior sister, the pinnacle of combat ability, a beautiful greatsword wielder and the light of the righteous path. She's also bound to the player character's System. The bad news: the player character has terrible luck. After fifty pulls, she still can't get Qin Chaomu, not even with the guaranteed draw. Qin Chaomu can't stand being stuck in the card pool any longer. So she disguises herself as an R-rank snake demon and joins the player character on her tribulations, starting from the beginner village. She calls it "getting some exercise." * The player character is a swordsmanship prodigy, but she can't fight as well as Qin Chaomu. The senior brother is a master healer, but he can't fight as well as Qin Chaomu. The Demon Lord is temperamental and treats human lives like grass, but still can't fight as well as Qin Chaomu. Qin Chaomu: That's it? Qin Chaomu: Don't complain. I told you, I'm an R-rank card. * The heroine is a short-tempered office worker, a fierce debater who won't fall for emotional manipulation, and the pinnacle of combat ability. A side character will have an unrequited crush on the heroine in the middle part, but the heroine won't get into a relationship in the story. Cover character design used with permission from Jin Shi.
