After twenty years of being born to wield a blade, Yan Ning finally succeeded in assassinating the Demon Lord through her cultivation of dark magic, but there were still some surprises.

Aside from the Demon Lord kissing her before he died, there was now another soul inside her barely surviving body. He cultivated the purest form of immortal magic and had saved her life, so she naturally didn't think anything of it.

“What are you? Get out!”

“I... I'm a little tree demon imprisoned by the Demon Lord... My name is... Chang Qiu.”

Chang Qiu was a little demon and a dazzling beauty, but after being alone for so many years, she was fed up. She sneered and prepared to crush his primordial spirit, only to cough up blood and worsen her injuries.

When she summoned her own primordial spirit to take a look, she discovered that the two of them were entangled and couldn't be separated. Their lives and deaths were bound together?

Fine, no problem. He could heal her, so he wasn't completely useless. Once she returned and reported in, she'd kill him. But he was so pathetic and talkative along the way! It was like he'd never seen anything before, and he shrieked excitedly at everything he saw.

The journey was full of danger, but it wasn't until Yan Ning chased a butterfly and stepped right into the mud that she realized, speechless, that their desperate flight for survival had turned into a sightseeing trip!?

Though her words said one thing and her heart another, beneath the falling autumn leaves, she kissed his lips from his younger days... Perhaps fate really was playing tricks on her. She would let him be reborn in blood and grant him his freedom.

[Cold, aloof, moody female assassin] x [Cute, beautiful, talkative male demon]

Disguise included:

Chang Qiu looked at herself in a gauzy dress, with rouge on her cheeks and ornaments jingling in her hair. She shyly asked Yan Ning, who was dressed as a man,

“Ah Ning, do I really not look strange dressed like this?”

“You look... really good...”

Notes:

1. Strong female lead, GBG, mutual pursuit, GB > female-led BG; later, the heroine disguises herself as a man.

2. HE.

3. 1v1, both pure, mutual salvation, physically normal, extremely pure romance, no misunderstandings.

4. Written for personal enjoyment and practice. This is my first novel, so, ummm, it's genuinely practice! Written before I signed a contract!

5. The title is clickbait; the main plot doesn't have much to do with the Demon Lord.

Theme: Don't ask for past lives or future lives; just cherish today.
