The Mute

Second-person perspective, male lead warning!

In the ninth year of Chongdao, a rare treasure appears, and the realm is thrown into turmoil.

You are ordered to leave the palace and follow the Imperial Preceptor's instructions to sneak into White Mist Mountain in search of the treasure. Several days later, you discover a desolate village deep in the mountains.

The village has been cut off from the outside world for many years. A sudden stranger is bound to attract attention, perhaps causing trouble and ruining His Majesty's plans.

After much deliberation, you choose a ramshackle hut on the edge of the village as your hideout. You settle in for the time being and, while you're at it, kidnap the hut's owner.

To stop him from escaping and alerting anyone, you tie him up from head to toe, gag him with a scrap of cloth, and leave him beside the bed, keeping a close watch in case he calls for help from passing villagers.

If he calls for help, you'll slit his throat.

But soon, you realize this was unnecessary.

Because he's mute.

A ruthless, cold-blooded attacker with no special powers or background x a pitiful mute who is the pursued partner. Mutual healing, one-on-one romance.
