[Western Crossover] Ordinary Criminals Aren't Superheroes

When everything in the world is at odds with what you know, will you be a genius or go mad?

Tyke is neither. He's just an ordinary criminal, an unemployed drifter who occasionally walks the fine line between excessive force and self-defense.

But in other people's eyes, he's a New York kingpin, the loneliest of lone wolves, with just a little bit of heroism. Tyke says he's not. After all, now that he understands the true nature of life, it's hard to say he still has the capacity to love it. He can only take things one day at a time, waiting to die unexpectedly someday. Just don't let the old director of the orphanage that raised him find out. She's the only person in his short, chaotic life whom he's ever let down.

Tyke once lived in a fairy-tale paradise built for him by the director and the kind people who passed through his world. His peaceful memories of a past life only taught him about goodness, truth, and beauty. Nobody told him how to face reality and ugliness. All he could do was fight until he was battered and bloodied, driven by the last embers of his passion and his stubbornness, using his ferocious appearance to intimidate every demon and monster so they wouldn't dare reach out their probing claws again.

The protagonist is still the little-angel type, but a hard-core angel: one who wields the Gatling Bodhisattva of Namo.

This guy is pretty ruthless and vicious too. If he says he'll kill someone, he will. Chaotic Good. But I like him, hehe.

This story is a mix of angst and catharsis. The protagonist gets to enjoy himself, while other people make up all sorts of angsty fantasies about him. The only thing Tyke is unhappy about is that this world isn't as perfect as he imagined, and he has to learn to live with its imperfections as he grows up.

Theme: Even if he won't be a superhero for Americans, he's still got to have a sense of heroism.
