Who would have guessed that Bailey's, a figure of extraordinary standing in an international criminal organization, was the other half of the leader of the Triangular Mercenary Corps?
They have shared senses and connected consciousness since birth. Though they have never met, they know each other intimately, teaching and keeping each other company. They have never been apart.
Ninomiya Kiyokawa, the adopted son of the boss of a black-clad organization named after liquor, has stood by that gentleman's side as Bailey's. He is that gentleman's anchor, his lock, the veil between him and a natural death, the final line of defense against madness.
Ophelia Wallman was born into a peaceful, happy family, but the darkness in people's hearts forced her to wander from place to place. After a mysterious old soldier took her in, she established her own mercenary corps. She is determined to kill every terrorist and organization. Her heart brims with rage, driving her to abandon the moral pretenses that conceal her madness.
But whatever their circumstances, they love themselves and the other self at the edge of the world, and they refuse to give up loving the world.
Warning: Ophelia's character and abilities are directly modeled on Marvel's Deadpool. I swear I copied his abilities and how they work without changing a thing. If anything differs, it's purely because I didn't read the comics carefully enough or didn't understand the abilities properly (hey!).
This story also crosses over with Sherlock and Criminal Minds, which respectively provide the childhood backgrounds for Ninomiya Kiyokawa and Ophelia, though they have been heavily altered. How could I not change things when I crossed Sherlock Holmes into this story? Come on!
And about the mercenary corps, ahem, I also tossed in a few single-player games to give the army some grounding. After all, maintaining an army is the most expensive thing in the world.
