A pampered young master, an aloof orphan, a loner who kept to himself.

Like most people, that was what she thought of Xie Jin when they first met.

During those two months, Xie Jin would glance in her direction from time to time. Yet the seats around him were like a century-old tree protected by a boundary, always empty.

One day, Yu Yun walked in without thinking, holding a bottle of Coke she'd brought over the wall.

She ran straight into the boy's burning gaze before he could look away.

From then on, their passion never faded.

Just before the start of their first year of high school, at the end of summer camp,

Yu Yun remembered not only the collection of essays that had mysteriously gone missing, but also Xie Jin's inscrutable expression that day and how he lingered at the back of the classroom.

Fortunately, a year and a half later, they met again.

And the boy had already gone to extraordinary lengths to make their reunion happen.

Seeing Yu Yun's ears turn red, Xie Jin grabbed her wrist and shot his answer straight at her without a second thought.

So it was no coincidence that they met on the rooftop.

One step forward meant no turning back. She was hysterical, falling apart and losing control.

But when she was pulled down from the ledge, Yu Yun fell into Xie Jin's exceptionally warm embrace.

He surrounded her like a sea of stars, and from then on, she could never leave him.

The boy's chest trembled beneath her, his steady heartbeat silently telling her:

Don't be afraid. You have me.

All the injustices fate had dealt her suddenly turned around.

He was like a deity, always reminding Yu Yun that she could do anything.

Xie Jin stared at her, then laughed softly.

"You can be the first."
