A Qing-Dynasty Consort

Turns out historical danmei can't make the rankings or become a VIP, sob. I'll have to stop writing this story here for now.

After transmigrating into a book set in the early Qing dynasty, Zhou Xu became Abage, Nurhaci's brother-in-law, who was forty years his junior. A young prince captured after his side lost the war, the original Abage was frail, delicate, and disfavored. Nurhaci's sons took turns tormenting him until he died.

Looking at his own delicate, beautiful face, Abage figured he could still hang on a little longer! To his surprise, he easily became the beloved darling of the imperial family, adored by everyone except the original story's aloof, forbidding protagonist, the Eighth Prince...

When he was injured, someone would fuss over him and tease his face.

When he was sad, someone would travel a thousand miles just to make him smile.

When his old illness returned, someone would keep watch by his bedside day and night...

But all of this was witnessed by a handsome face that no one dared look at directly. The Eighth Prince, Hong Taiji, quietly plotted his moves, until at last Abage lay beside him on the pillow. He leaned in, brushing his lips against Abage's ear, and whispered, "I've been plotting to make you mine for a long time, Uncle..."

Everyone knows that the three Dorgon brothers throw their weight around outside.

But the moment they get in front of their little uncle, they turn into different people, clinging to his leg and acting cute like affectionate kittens.

They never fail to make Abage laugh...

When the news reached Hong Taiji, the man, who usually kept his emotions off his face, ground his teeth in anger.

Late at night

Abage was hauled onto the bed by someone. His head was still spinning from the impact, and before he could sit up, warm breath brushed his ear.

"Be good and smile for me again."

P.S. The blurb makes it look romance-focused, but the story actually leans more toward plot. The protagonist has a System, and it's the story of a little nobody's rise.
