[Campus Romance] [Second Chance Romance]

Bookish, awkward top student x wealthy young master who overthinks everything

On the first day of their second year of high school, Wen Sheng and Li Yanshi were assigned to sit together.

They sat side by side for two weeks without interfering with each other. Then one day, Li Yanshi received a text from Wen Sheng: "What kind of girl do you like?"

The young master, who received so many love letters he could barely keep up, was baffled. After much deliberation, he chose to turn her down as gently as he could.

Since they saw each other every day, Li Yanshi felt guilty and gave Wen Sheng a lot of leeway in all sorts of situations.

Just as his self-persuasion progress bar was about to reach 100 percent, he saw a girl from the class next door approach Wen Sheng after a break between exercises.

The girl put a stack of competition problems on Wen Sheng's desk and said shyly, "Thanks for asking him for me last time."

Wen Sheng looked at the problems, eyes shining with delight. "It's nothing. You gave me this out-of-print book in exchange, after all."

"…"

Li Yanshi dropped the dress he'd bought for 23,000 yuan onto the desk.

So this wasn't a confession. She was doing it for those two stupid books of problems, damn it!

- He is like a cool breeze breaking through the stifling summer school days, wild and carefree.

- A young man dressed in fine clothes, riding a fine horse.

P.S.

The female lead is always first in her grade, though she goes through a period of uncertainty. After the male lead encourages her, she remains first in her grade, and her grades don't drop. If you're bothered by the male lead encouraging the female lead when she struggles with school or life, this may not be for you. I saw people online say this made the male lead seem stronger than the female lead, so I'm clarifying here.

The female lead is far ahead of everyone in all aspects: academics, morality, physical education, and the arts. The male lead wins a gold medal in a physics competition. Both work hard, and the male lead doesn't casually study and somehow become better than the female lead. This is mentioned in the latter half of the story. If you're bothered by the male lead being good at physics, this may not be for you either. I saw people flagging that online too.

Finally, thanks to all the lovely readers who subscribed. Hope you enjoy the story~
