Who Is This Brilliant Yet Tragic Detective?

Di Jiangli has lived for seventeen years and died more than a thousand times.

After the bombing at age fourteen, Di Jiangli should have been blown to bits like fireworks. But the next morning, he woke up and found himself still alive. From then on, the next day began repeating endlessly. After going through the loop more than three hundred times, he finally couldn't take it anymore and jumped from a building.

As a result, time, which had been stuck when he was fourteen, finally moved on to day three.

On his seventeenth birthday, he stumbled upon a transaction involving a criminal organization. He rushed in first and promptly kicked the bucket. When he woke up the next day, the timeline had been corrected, and he had already joined that lousy organization.

Di Jiangli: Seriously?

In the real world:

After Detective Conan reached its conclusion, the official team released a spin-off featuring an original character. Conan fans flocked to follow the new series, only to be completely stunned by the first episode.

At first:

[Why does this guy join the organization after going down the wrong path from the start??]

[Why did he suddenly die...? Wait, he's alive again!]

[Is he doing a comedy routine with Gin...? He's got some nerve.]

[If Di Jiangli, the spin-off's protagonist, doesn't die, he has to repeat the same day forever. Has the Conan universe really evolved to this point?]

Later:

[Stop dying, stop dying!! I can't take seeing him get hurt every day, aaah!]

[Aoyama, you heartless old thief, sob sob sob sob sob]

[“For many years, he leaned like this in a lonely corner, listening to the wind brush past his ear. Suddenly, he no longer wanted to die on this sleepless night.” Sob sob sob, is my heart a chopping board or what!!]

[What kind of beautiful but tragic character is Di Jiangli? I feel like my heart could hit the highway from following this story!! Why are there so many cruel twists of fate!!]

Notes:

1. The protagonist's ability is that if he doesn't die today, the day repeats endlessly until he dies, allowing him to reach tomorrow. If part of the day remains after he dies, the world fills it in with plausible memories.

2. This is not a rescue fic for the police academy group. Characters may die.

3. No romantic pairing, just brotherhood.

4. The protagonist's faction leans toward the Red side.

Theme: No matter what, never give up on the tomorrow you can reach.
