[New Gods: Nezha Reborn] Sweet Osmanthus in Bloom

Blurb:

"I often saw a mighty gentleman, handsome and refined, graceful and composed, dressed in a white robe embroidered with gold, standing beside the railing of Camel Bridge... This mighty gentleman is what the common folk call Erlang." - Song dynasty, Hong Mai, Records of the Yi Jian

Gan Tang came from one of the three thousand minor worlds. Just as she was ascending to immortality, she was on the verge of perishing. Fortunately, a black bird appeared and helped her along, leaving her indebted with an enormous karmic debt.

Only later did she learn that it was the True Lord of Clear Origin and Wondrous Dao who had split open Peach Mountain to save his mother and free the black bird, allowing her to survive.

Gan Tang had caught a glimpse of the True Lord of Clear Origin and Wondrous Dao once or twice from afar. He was mighty in stature, handsome and refined, graceful and composed, dressed in a white robe embroidered with gold. He was just as the books described.

Though Gan Tang had weathered countless hardships and met all sorts of people and witnessed all manner of things, she still could not name anyone more handsome than that True Lord.

She knew her own powers were meager and that there was little she could do to help him, but there were still some things within her power.

Immortals had all the time in the world. She would be able to repay her debt eventually.

Notes:

1. Inspired by watching New Gods: Yang Jian. A short story with some cultivation elements added. Any OOC characterization is my responsibility; everything else belongs to the original work.

2. "The demon lord Gan Tang knows right from wrong; the immortal lord Jiang is clever in every way." The characters, collectively nicknamed the "Black and White Fiends," are clearly not good people in the conventional sense.

3. Main pairing: Gan Tang x Yang Jian. Side pairing: Jiang Heng x Chenxiang, as well as Jiang Heng's parents, Jiang Zhu and Jing Shu. They're all adorable, in my eyes.

4. An unconventional cultivation story about beautiful, powerful, tragic characters. As for potential triggers, I can't think of any. Maybe give it a try, and if you don't like it, just drop it. No need to tell me. Just pretend I don't exist [Are you okay?].

Theme: While living in this world, one should know right from wrong and treat those around them with sincerity.
