A Monster's Love

Shen Ningdu was born in the slums. His mother died young, and his father was a gambler.

He scraped by on the fringes of society, using his handsome face to work as a henchman and coax people into spending lavishly. He was greedy, cold, and selfish, with desires that knew no bounds.

Then, on his nineteenth birthday, a luxury car pulled up outside his home. A dignified, refined man told him that he was actually the son of the richest family in District Thirteen. A mishap years ago had caused their children to be switched at birth.

Smiling, Shen Ningdu returned to the wealthy household.

From then on, he had four family members and one servant.

A gentle, refined father;

An eldest brother, mature and dependable;

A second brother, gentle and considerate;

A younger brother, sweet and thoughtful;

And... the fake young master, now his servant, who had enjoyed the life that should have been his.

He threw tantrums, smashed things, and was moody and unpredictable, testing his family's limits time and again. But no matter what he did, they indulged him without limit, loved him, and treated him as the most important person in the world.

What a wonderful life.

Except that, now and then... eyes appeared in the darkness, voices whispered in secret, his father wore a strange expression, and his family moved and behaved as if they were all one being...

Until one late night

Shen Ningdu saw with his own eyes as his family transformed into a gigantic monster, waving its terrifying tentacles and devouring everything.

In the year 2693, spiritual qi revival brought all kinds of anomalies in its wake.

In remote District Thirteen, an enormous surge of evil energy suddenly emerged. The Anomaly Containment Bureau sent an S-rank employee to investigate, only to discover... that everyone in the district had been hypnotized and controlled. The gigantic Hand of God held everything in its grasp.

And everything the monster did was to create a perfect world of pleasure for one human being.

Someone once asked Shen Ningdu:

"Are you afraid of him?"

A smile played at the young man's lips as he replied nonchalantly, "Why would I be afraid of a monster who... even if I twisted his head off, would kneel on the ground and tell me he loves me?"

Only the most passionate and profound love could move his icy heart.

*There was no switched-at-birth mix-up. That was just an excuse the gong made up to get close to the shou.

*The gong is split into many pieces, an octopus monster with lots of brains.

*There may be a little sanity loss.

"Devoted, split-piece gong" x *warm on the outside, cold on the inside shou*.

*Everything in this novel is fictional and has no connection to reality.
