Am I Dating Myself?

[A self-cest narcissism story.]

Qiao Mu is hopelessly obsessed with romance.

Whenever he starts dating someone, he loses all reason. He bombards them with messages, grows suspicious and jealous over nothing, and wants to be the only person in his boyfriend's world.

Everyone who comes for his looks eventually can't take it anymore and breaks up with him.

His latest boyfriend manages to stick it out for three months. Just when Qiao Mu thinks he's found true love, he's brutally cheated on. His boyfriend falls for his psychology major roommate, who shares his dorm.

All because dating Qiao Mu gave him anxiety.

He needs a psychologist to fix him.

Qiao Mu: “...”

Qiao Mu is devastated after the breakup.

He thinks he'll never believe in love again. By a stroke of misfortune, he summons a demon, who insists on making a deal with him. So he simply wishes to get rid of his obsessive, lovesick nature. From now on, he'll be cold and heartless, all about his career: Qiao Mu.

However... a little accident occurs during the process.

Qiao Mu turns from one person into two.

One is the half-demon, cold and heartless career man, Qiao.

The other is Qiao Qiao, who has lost his calm and reason and evolved into an even more extreme, lovesick romantic.

Unfortunately, he is Qiao Qiao.

They share memories and hobbies. They know what the other wants to pick up as soon as they reach out, where the other wants to go as soon as they stand, and what the other wants to say with just one look.

They are each other's other half, a self made of intertwined blood and soul.

No one could be more perfect for each other.

Little scene.

Qiao Qiao thinks he'll never find a boyfriend in his life. No one would accept the way he loves.

Qiao asks, confused, “Why won't you date me?”

“?”

“Eight hundred texts a day, answering endless calls, checking in every morning, noon, and night, no same-sex or opposite-sex friends besides you, treating only you well in the whole world, giving special treatment only to you... I can do all of that. You won't find a better boyfriend than me.”

Qiao Qiao feels guilty but satisfied. “Isn't that too strict? I still have two friends, after all.”

“That's okay.” He smiles, his black eyes turning crimson. “Because you're the only person in the world I care about.”
