Posing as Human

Before she died, Zhu Yunqing's mother told her a secret:

We are undercover agents from the planet Alter. Our mission is to observe the lives of Earthlings, avoid being discovered, and regularly send secret reports to our home planet. If we fail, everyone back home will die. The consequences are serious!

So Zhu Yunqing has always kept her mission in mind, imitating the way Earthlings live and making sure no one discovers her secret.

But she's the only alien left on the whole planet Earth. It's so lonely!

One time, while sending a secret report, Zhu Yunqing unexpectedly found someone like herself.

A handsome man stood beneath the starry sky, holding a secret-report transmitter. A faint light flashed past in the clouds.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Zhu Yunqing rushed over and grabbed his hand.

"Comrade! My own people! I've waited twenty years for you to finally come!"

Lu Yuanxing, who was actually sending a secret report, froze on the spot.

Lu Yuanxing had been on Earth for four hundred years.

Technology on the planet Orlans was advanced. Humanity had escaped the constraints of the physical body, uploaded their consciousness into virtual space, and become immortal gods.

But after a great war, the database that stored emotions was damaged, and the once-lively space became lifeless.

To regain the ability to feel emotions, the planet Orlans sent out a representative to go undercover on Earth, obtain emotional data from Earthlings, and send it back for the people there to study.

Unfortunately, progress had been slow.

Then one day, the data sent back by the undercover agent changed dramatically, finally giving years of research a breakthrough.

The superior asked why the undercover agent's data had changed.

Researcher: "It seems he's fallen in love with someone... a mentally ill person."
