By Erhai Lake in Yunnan, there's a small guesthouse called Yuanlai Guesthouse.
They say the proprietress is from Jingbei, beautiful and poised, intelligent and elegant.
Her husband was the youngest physicist in the country. Sadly, he devoted himself to science and died of cancer.
The theme of Yuanlai Guesthouse is simple, yet sad. A short sentence is engraved on the sign at the entrance:
"We parted, never to meet again. My husband now rests forever, and I think of him always."
