The Empress Consort Has the Emperor's Undivided Favor

[Short story, one-on-one, both leads are virgins] A Ying grew up deep in the palace. As a palace maid, she had witnessed many changes in people's fortunes from a young age, and had grown accustomed to a life of fine clothes and food. She thought that no matter how many misfortunes one faced in life, wealth and power could solve them all. So when the young emperor lowered his eyes and asked her to choose, she said, "This servant wishes to stay by Your Majesty's side." Her eyes were like autumn waters, rippling and bright, seemingly full of affection. - At first, Fu Xiao kept A Ying by his side because she had no one to rely on and had been with him for many years. Later, he laid his heart before her, made her the sole recipient of his favor, and raised her from palace maid to empress. He cleared every obstacle in her path and left the imperial harem empty for her. [A Ying, you only need to stay where you are. I will do everything in my power and walk toward you, step by step.] [I only hope to stand beside you at the summit of power.] P.S. 1. Fictional setting, no real-life inspirations.
