Blurb:

A story about two people reborn.

Meng Haijing was once the most esteemed Princess Zhaoyang of the Great Zhou.

Her father, elder brother, and younger brother ruled as emperors across three generations. Her mother was the lady of the imperial harem. She was loved by her parents, and shared a close bond with her siblings. Her betrothed was the renowned Marquis of Zhenbei. No matter how arrogant and overbearing she was, no one dared contradict her.

Then,

Meng Haijing watched her mother die young, her father and elder brother be exhumed and whipped, and her younger brother be cut down by the rebellious Marquis of Zhenbei.

When that blade came for her, the Imperial Preceptor, who seemed like an immortal descended from heaven, stepped in front of her.

Heaven took pity on her, and Meng Haijing returned to a time before any of this had happened.

As she tries to save her family, she suddenly realizes that the Imperial Preceptor, radiant as the sun and moon, is quite the feast for the eyes.

What?! Could the Imperial Preceptor be secretly in love with the princess, too?

Xi Yu had a lonely youth and was cold and indifferent. In the capital, everyone regarded him as an untouchable immortal.

Yet in front of Meng Haijing, Xi Yu was a shy fool who blushed at the drop of a hat, leaving her puzzled and amused.

The people of the capital had even less chance of seeing an immortal kneel in the rain at night and confess his feelings:

"It is I, your subject. I was presumptuous. I dared to harbor disrespectful feelings for the princess..."

The free-spirited Princess Meng Haijing x the humble Imperial Preceptor Xi Yu, brought low by love
