Safe House App

The protagonist discovers a game where you run a safe house in a post-apocalyptic world.

At first, the safe house is just a tiny convenience store, providing food and water for NPCs in the wasteland.

As it upgrades step by step, the safe house changes dramatically, turning a stretch of wasteland into a secure base.

On the day the game is completed, the world of the "Apocalypse" selects lucky players to enter its post-apocalyptic world.

The protagonist is one of them.

The "Apocalypse" world is a scene of utter devastation. Dense hordes of zombies are held back by a barrier, and a mechanical voice sounds in the protagonist's ear.

[Welcome to the "Apocalypse." Your ability is: Safe House.]

[Preparing to transport you.]

While carrying out a mission to escort a doctor back to base, the top encounters a zombie horde.

Seriously wounded, he tells his teammates to get the doctor out of there.

As he teeters on the brink of death, he sees a convenience store.

In the darkness, he sees a glimmer of light.

It's a tiny convenience store, yet inside there is clean food and water. It all seems like a dream.

Then a clear young voice suddenly rings out from the store: "Welcome to the Apocalypse Safe House."

The safe house expands step by step, becoming a vast refuge.

Then one day, the enormous refuge suddenly vanishes, and humanity's hopes are shattered once more.

As the top struggles to survive in the apocalypse, a seed remains buried in his heart.

Until he spots a little convenience store in the desert, surrounded by mutants and zombies, and walks inside.

A pale young man stands in the store. Clean food and water fill the shelves around him. His voice trembles, echoing the voice from the top's memory: "Welcome to... the Apocalypse Safe House."

Reader's guide:

1. The protagonist's name hasn't been decided yet, orz.

2. After thinking through the premise, I decided the story would start in the apocalypse. If it started as a game, the later transition into the apocalypse would repeat too many plot points and feel bloated and cumbersome.

3. I'll add the rest once I've figured it out.
