Betas Cannot Be Marked

[Please support the official version on Jinjiang! Thank you for adding my upcoming works on my profile to your favorites!] Rational-minded Beta secretary x pheromone-rich Alpha crown prince Betas cannot be marked or completely possessed. Falling in love with a Beta is undoubtedly an act of self-torture that goes against one's instincts. Crown Prince Demobaiya is the Empire's widely acknowledged number-one Alpha, hailed as "the sun of the Empire." His personal secretary, Losbeier, is an exceptionally capable Beta woman. After being suppressed for a long time with inhibitors, his heat arrives with a vengeance. His potent pheromones spread through the air, and the Alpha's powerful mental strength edges toward "losing control." "Losbeier, do you know? I want so badly to mark you." He is a siren luring you into the depths, his sea-blue eyes like the dark ocean, currents surging beneath the moonlight. But Betas cannot smell pheromones. "Your Highness, please don't joke with me like that." Demobaiya gazes at her calm, unmoved expression, then chuckles and leans closer to her neck. His scorching breath brushes the skin behind her ear. "Losbeier, you have only one flaw." That is, you're a Beta I cannot mark. His one and only beloved, for whom he is helpless, yet willingly endures anxiety and pain. [Reader's Note] This is not a wish-fulfillment novel. The heroine will continue to grow. (This work does not advocate ABO equality, nor could it be achieved, but it will do its best to give every character their own arc of growth.) This work contains many author-created settings! The main worldbuilding is explained in the afterword to chapter one, with further additions in later afterwords. Lupeier often accompanied his father to the palace as a child to learn the trade. Later, he became almost entirely the princess's "personal physician." "Your Highness, this is the third time you've been injured this month." "You call that an injury?" Rosalina glanced down at the thin cut on her arm, about 1.5 inches long, and raised a delicate eyebrow. Then she looked at Lupeier, kneeling before her, his long lashes veiling eyes like green jade. "Lupeier, I think I smell white tea." "Are you releasing pheromones?" At her words, his long lashes trembled like butterfly wings. "Your Highness, I think I've gone into heat..." Lupeier differentiated as an Omega before Rosalina, and though he had many worries, every one of them had to do with her. At first, he worried that Rosalina wouldn't differentiate as an Alpha. Later, he worried that their genes wouldn't be compatible. Then he worried that Rosalina had marked him only because their genes were compatible. If the attraction between an Alpha and an Omega is instinct, how can I know that you truly love me? Theme: Be self-reliant and achieve your goals through your own efforts.
