A friendly reminder: This is an old, long-abandoned project of the author's. It's not very long, and updates will be irregular.

I recommend collecting it and letting chapters pile up before reading.

As a child, Bai Qiang was kidnapped and sold to a remote region of Miaojiang, where a beautiful woman bought her and made her her apprentice.

The woman was a free-spirited witch who feared no taboo. She raised the timid Bai Qiang to become just like herself: proud and cold.

After Wu Xue passed away, Bai Qiang left Miaojiang to find the unfaithful man Wu Xue had thought of so dearly while alive.

But when she was driven out of a village, she happened to meet a Buddhist monk who was feeling unusually kind. He had a handsome face, but a heart of darkness.

Bai Qiang was a child who knew nothing of love. She only knew that if she wanted something, she had to do whatever it took to get it.

Suddenly, she became interested in the aloof, detached monk and wanted to draw him into the mortal world.

But the one who was truly without a heart wasn't him. It was her.

When he chose to leave the monastery, Bai Qiang told him, "Let's part on good terms."

"I've committed evil deeds. Even if I'm going to hell, I'm dragging you down with me."

Only then did Bai Qiang realize that some people shouldn't be provoked lightly.

Once you provoke them, there's no going back.
