[60% anti-piracy threshold]
As the Gojo clan's only officially sanctioned "Six Eyes designated substitute for death," Nagiya had been bound by an irreversible pact from the moment he was born:
Whenever the current Six Eyes bearer faced a life-or-death crisis, Nagiya would use his innate technique, [Transposition], to trade lifespans with him, giving the future strongest sorcerer one chance to rise from the dead and turn the tide of a hopeless situation.
In return, the Gojo clan promised his parents a vast sum of money and Nagiya a life of comfort in the Gojo household for as long as he wished.
In short, his parents sold him to the Gojo clan.
Nagiya had no objections. He was raised by the Gojo clan like a shadow for over a decade, and his one and only request was to go to school outside the estate.
The good news was that there, he met the person he was meant to die for: a white-haired classmate with a nasty personality. The bad news was that he died before graduation.
The worse news was that only after dying did he realize he really liked the person he'd been meant to die for. The worst news was that it wasn't many years before the other man joined him in death.
Nagiya: eyes shaking.jpg
He punched the grinning white-haired man as hard as he could, agreed to be bound to a strange building, and set off without looking back to gather the wishes he needed to bring the Six Eyes back to life.
[The King's Sword Hangs Overhead]
One of Homra's officers, as fragile as cardboard, picked up a boy on the street who had run into a knife while confronting a thug, apparently trying to end his own life.
Totsuka thought he'd found some kid who'd lost his family. He didn't expect a depressive little black-hearted weirdo. It took him a long time to melt the boy's defenses, and just as he decided to stay by his side forever, he was shot dead on a rooftop.
He never saw the boy beside him stiffen like a stone statue.
From their first meeting to the boy kneeling beside his corpse, it seemed to happen in the blink of an eye. How many days had passed from the moment of his death until Nagiya took the bullet that would end his fate for good?
[The Fantastical Yokohama]
A certain bandage-wasting device from the Port Mafia followed his troublesome boss's orders and brought back a rare talent for the organization from deep inside an abandoned building by the river, a talent who killed without blinking.
The recruit showed tremendous interest in his ability, saving him from the brink of death again and again. One night, from the darkness behind some abandoned shipping containers, he fearlessly asked:
"Dazai... would you like to touch this cube?"
At that moment, Dazai wanted him dead. He never imagined there would come a day when he brought flowers to visit his grave.
"Happy New Year, Yoruichi," he said softly, crouching in front of the grave. "You didn't come visit me in my dreams this year either."
[The Day of the Binding]
Nagiya, a professional substitute for death who didn't care whether he lived or died, was given a chance to "observe" his own life.
He returned to the day he died and saw the Six Eyes prodigy hurrying over to lay his body to rest, as well as the high school teacher from many years in the future whom he had never met.
That year, the only two classmates left leaned against the railing and chatted. Ieiri had a cigarette between her lips, her gaze drifting aimlessly into the distance, when she suddenly asked, "Oh. I just remembered. Back in school, weren't you in love with Nagi?"
The blindfold hid the shifting emotions in the Six Eyes, leaving only a somewhat helpless smile.
"Isn't it a little late to remember that after he's been in the ground for so many years?"
"Well, I guess I'm just as bad."
Nagiya leaned against the railing beside Gojo. The breeze stirred his long, delicate white hair, and his green eyes were already full of tears.
Reader's guide:
1. 1v1 HE, paired with a certain white-haired Six Eyes user. They save each other. The protagonist is obsessively devoted and can't live without him.
2. The protagonist is a sick, white-haired, bowl-cut weirdo, basically a sharp-tongued sarcastic type. He has his share of dark thoughts.
3. OOC and original headcanons. The other worlds are undecided. The love interest appears a lot starting around the middle; he'll pop up occasionally earlier on.
4. A kink-driven work written during my writing-recovery period. No prose, just enthusiasm x
Check out my upcoming novel: The Dragon Protagonist Is Playing Dead Again
The world's story has gone off the rails. The dragon protagonist, who was originally supposed to have a smooth life, never truly facing danger or hardship, was framed by a villain and is now on the brink of death.
Zhu Yusheng, Host of the Dragon Protagonist Support System, was sent into a novel world on a great mission: save the dragon protagonist from danger at critical moments and ensure the world's cornerstone grows up safely.
He opened and closed his eyes, and Zhu Yusheng found himself transported to the year Xie Lingfei was fifteen, when the Xie family was massacred. Flames filled his view. Zhu Yusheng thought: Villains! As if slaughtering an entire family weren't enough, they even set the place on fire!
He carried the badly wounded, barely conscious boy out of the blaze, cared for him tenderly for several days, and took him to the greatest sect under heaven before quietly leaving.
The second time, he was sent to the year Xie Lingfei turned eighteen, during the sect tournament.
The boy had been betrayed by his fellow disciples and had his spiritual power sealed. He was about to be eaten by a demon beast. Zhu Yusheng appeared from behind a tree, quickly knocked out the beast's fangs, picked up the boy, and ran.
They hid for days in a cave in the forest. Once Xie Lingfei emerged from the illusion, Zhu Yusheng clapped his hands. Perfect finish!
The third time, he was sent to the year Xie Lingfei turned twenty, when he was undergoing his tribulation to form a core.
And so it went. Zhu Yusheng worked tirelessly, certain that thanks to his efforts, the dragon protagonist would follow his original path and reach the peak of his life!
He never expected the dragon protagonist to turn out all wrong.
He cared nothing for wealth or beautiful women. Though his swordsmanship had reached the pinnacle, he still refused to take up the mantle of sect leader. Every day he wandered among the people below the mountain, seeming to devote himself to cultivation but actually going out of his way to get himself killed.
He would either leap into someone else's lightning tribulation with his eyes shut or face thousands of demonic cultivators alone. When nobody was around to help him get into trouble, he would seal his own meridians and trespass into forbidden grounds. In short, Zhu Yusheng's missions became far more frequent. Every time he arrived at Xie Lingfei's side, the man was at death's door, barely breathing.
At last, one day, as he faced the dragon protagonist lying on the ground like a corpse, the System suddenly realized something was wrong: Host, he... he seems to be faking it!
Zhu Yusheng: Hm?
The System was horrified: How did the Tortoise Breath Technique from the neighboring set get over here? Aaaaaah!
Zhu Yusheng: Hm-hm?
Xie Lingfei, known as Lord Lingfei of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, is blessed with good fortune and born a genius. He's the most revered sword saint in the cultivation world and an admired champion of the righteous path.
But few people know that before he joined the Ten Thousand Swords Sect at fifteen, Xie Lingfei was merely the son of a servant, confined to a remote residence and treated with contempt.
He slept on a straw mat and ate scraps.
His parents were tormented to death by the family they served. His heart filled with hatred, he could bear it no longer. After years of planning, he invited wolves into the house when he was fifteen, burned the Xie estate to the ground, and lay down to wait for death himself.
But a pair of arms carried him out of the fire, their sleeves scorched and curled without the person even noticing.
That was the first time Xie Lingfei met Zhu Yusheng. Zhu Yusheng took him to the foot of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect. When the boy passed the entrance trial and went down the mountain to deliver the news, all he found was an empty house.
Three years passed without another meeting. They met again in the middle of a crisis. They hid together in a cave. When Xie Lingfei won first place and drew back the vine curtain over the entrance, the man was already gone.
Xie Lingfei couldn't make sense of it. He asked a fellow disciple he knew, sword in hand. The disciple listened, then said with a beaming smile, "He must be in love with you, head over heels. But he's too shy to show himself, so he watches over you from the shadows!"
So Xie Lingfei returned to the cave and, after fidgeting for ages, left a note.
Years turned, but no reply ever came. His hopes were battered by wind and rain, and he resolved to shut his heart and never wait for anyone again.
At twenty, he was undergoing his tribulation. The secluded paradise where he had lived in isolation was under attack by demon beasts. He thought he would either be eaten or succumb to cultivation deviation. Just as he was about to draw his sword in a life-or-death struggle, that man appeared again.
Xie Lingfei discovered a secret.
Zhu Yusheng only appeared when his life was in danger.
Xie Lingfei figured out the pattern. Xie Lingfei put the pattern to use.
But soon, Xie Lingfei realized there was a problem. It was easy enough to create a dangerous situation, but he only wanted to see Zhu Yusheng. He didn't want him to face danger alongside him.
Xie Lingfei pondered. Xie Lingfei received guidance from an expert.
Xie Lingfei learned to play dead.
But every lie is eventually found out. Lord Lingfei, who never smiles and can't read people's hearts in the eyes of outsiders, lowers his gaze only in front of this one person, speaking with careful hesitation: "Are you leaving again today?"
[Before You Read]:
1. Cunning, black-lotus top x gentle, refined, nurturing bottom. The top is great at putting on an act, and the bottom's thought process is completely off the rails. Unwavering 1v1, definitely HE!
2. The bottom is an ordinary person x. He relies on the System's golden finger to fight monsters. There's some overactive imagination on the part of others (Thank goodness, Young Master Zhu Yusheng is here! We're saved! That kind of thing) Very wrong.)
Theme: Cherish everything you have
In the first half, I almost thought we were going to have a double-death ending 😭 😭 Unexpectedly, there was a sudden turn of events. Bai Ri Pavilion is so good 😭 Such a normal wish-making organization (?) It's a pity that there is no future talk 😭 😭
