For my next novel, "But I Refuse to Redeem the Villain," see my profile. It's a master-disciple story about redemption and a deep bond, with both leads reborn. It's angsty, full of face-slapping revenge and a crematorium of regrets, and updating now!
Ten-year-old Ajax, the future illustrious Harbinger, Tartaglia, had just been spat out of the Abyss when a red light flashed above his head and a death-is-imminent debuff descended upon him.
From the moment Ajax stepped into the Abyss, he understood that the course of his life had changed dramatically.
But he never expected that the moment he got out, the course of his life would turn a full 180 degrees.
An avalanche was ready to bury him, and a house was about to collapse on him. Ghosts came for his life in the middle of the night, and even going out for a casual stroll could mean running into a Vision that had gone berserk.
Ajax: My life is full of extraordinary events.
And behind every single one of them stood a dark, radiant figure.
It all began on an ordinary day...

[Mission details refreshed.]
[Save Tartaglia's life from the death-is-imminent debuff and help him survive until he turns fifteen.]
Lyle, the mission-cleanup specialist who only wanted to retire, had been caught by the System and thrown all over the world. Sitting on the steps in front of what might be his own home, he really wanted to light a cigarette.
"System." He stared ahead with dead fish eyes. "Say that again?"
What was a death-is-imminent debuff?
In a word: when death came crashing down on you, all you could do was blink.
Death came fast, and the cause was ridiculously bizarre. Anything was possible, from a flowerpot falling on your head to a meteor crashing down. If you could imagine it, it could happen.
Lyle Via crossed his hands beneath his chin and fell into deep thought.
The boss was max level from the start. The odds of completing the mission looked bleak.
A setback had cut across his road to retirement. How could he turn things around? Urgent!
The System said: Get up and do your mission.
He dug a blue-eyed kid, frozen pale, out of the snow and accepted his crappy fate.
Of indeterminate age, a gold-medal office drone from the Bureau of Fate Management found himself in another world with a human child who hadn't yet reached max level, and began a peaceful life unlike anything he'd ever experienced.
Reading guide:
The story is from the seme's perspective, with one-on-one romance and Tartaglia as the love interest. The protagonist is an office drone whose inner monologue is full of snark, and whose character is so deeply ingrained it can't be peeled off. He's got a face that could stop traffic, knows people everywhere but can't remember a single one, and works as a professional embarrassment.
This isn't a Genshin Impact story for ages 12 and up. The timeline has been moved up a little.
Logic is dead, and the golden finger is maxed out.
Anything miHoYo hasn't released is my own headcanon. There are headcanons everywhere, so don't think too hard about it. Just click for fun (covering my bases).
Please note the author's thoughts are a muddle (grimace).
Contains a tiny bit of Aether and Xiao.
"But I Refuse to Redeem the Villain"
Jiang Xuan transmigrated into a book, becoming the cannon-fodder young master of the villain faction who shared his name. The young master was noble, openhearted, and tragically short-lived. Wearing his body, Jiang Xuan worked diligently for half his life. Along the way, he took in a villain whose values had not yet gone astray, kept him close, and taught him carefully, hoping to rewrite the villain's tragic fate and ending.
Who could have guessed that a villain would be a villain? Jiang Xuan did everything for him and planned for his future, only to become a thorn in his side and be stabbed to death beneath the moon in a desolate wilderness.
Reborn, Jiang Xuan carried a mission to correct the ending. Disguised under a new secret identity, he joined the greatest sect in the land and became an idle peak master. His daily routine was drinking tea, reading, taking care of his health, and walking his birds. When he had nothing better to do, he'd swing his sword a few times, earning tearful, deeply moved cheers from the sect's disciples.
The sect leader watched him coast through life and sighed, shaking his head. So one day, the sect leader went down the mountain, found a ragged little boy, and brought him to meet Jiang Xuan. Clutching the sect leader's robe, the boy lowered his head awkwardly. "D-Disciple Su Huaishuang pays his respects to Master."
Jiang Xuan was horrified. I didn't go to the mountain, so the mountain came to me!
But now that the protagonist was standing right in front of him, he'd have to raise him after all. His peaceful life of idling away the days was over. Jiang Xuan diligently raised the child, personally taking him down the mountain for training and forging equipment for him. He took the protagonist through just about every activity that could improve his combat strength.
When the protagonist grew up, Jiang Xuan gently nudged him. "Go on!"
It was time for him to begin his destined battle with the villain!
The tall young man lowered his lashes, ignoring what Jiang Xuan had really meant. His beautiful eyes filled with a heartbroken, despairing sorrow. "Master, are you trying to drive me away?"
Jiang Xuan: ???
Su Huaishuang bent down and reached out, doing nothing more than tentatively tugging on Jiang Xuan's sleeve. Without Jiang Xuan realizing it, his disciple had grown into an adult. He confirmed this again and again amid the countless crises and schemes that followed.
"Master only needs to do what he likes. This disciple will always be behind you."

The infamous Jiang Mingyan, widely condemned in later generations and said to deserve heaven's punishment, had a secret.
He had returned from decades in the future to his tumultuous childhood, back beside his poor, emaciated mother. His mother took him to meet his relatives, then, just like in his previous life, starved to death along the way. Huddled beneath a leaking roof, Jiang Mingyan thought:
Just wait a little longer. That person will come get him soon.
But he waited and waited, and no matter what, that person never came. He found his way back home and saw only a completely unfamiliar look in that person's eyes. From then on, he was half-mad, spending his whole life searching for that old soul.
And then, eventually, he found him.
That person had a different name and sat atop a high platform, with a tall, straight-backed young man beside him.
Reading guide:
A cool-headed, unconventional motherly master x a deceptively sweet, extremely biased disciple who's hopelessly in love. A master-disciple romance with the younger disciple, one-on-one and a formidable pair, focused on redemption. Both the master and the villain are reborn. Revenge and a crematorium of regrets. The master-disciple relationship is firm and unshakable.
Theme: Life is precious
Although he survived, it was too much. But the ending has been foreshadowed very early on. The ending is regrettable, but this is how it feels? But I always thought that Lyle would be fine and the system would be fine. I still underestimated the friendship between them. My wife wrote very well. The transition from energetic at the beginning to exhausted at the end was perfect. But I still want to know in the end, is Lyle's soul damaged now? Can't remember anything. What about after him and Ajax? Although Madam, you said it is a seal, it still takes time to break the seal. Madam, your copywriting also said that you need to fall in love after you become an adult. I want to read about falling in love. And will Ajax still become an executive and be awarded the name of Dadalia by the Queen? The world has not forgotten Yingda. The doctor still remembers him. What impact will it have on Ajax? Probably these. Just integrate it
1. Lyle without memory gets along with Ajax
2. Ajax falls in love with Lyle as an adult (I don't know who is chasing whom, but it feels like Ajax is chasing Lyle/confessing to him? Anyway, Ajax took the initiative)
3. Ajax's future
Then there's what you wrote in the article, madam.
4. Follow-up episode of Dada and Little Lair
I want to see these four. Don't worry about the other characters. The wind god, rock god, and grass god will probably sigh, and then treat them with the same attitude as when they first met, with a hint of intimacy. The housekeeper couldn't see the rest, and the remaining people had little relevance. The system is also a good system, sigh. Lyle will remember. They are all very nice people.
I still want to say that this book is really great, this kind of book that will bury the knife for everyone from the beginning to the end. My wife must have thought up the ending of this article. Now I feel sad when I think of the previous article. Wonderful. I've been following it since I saw it on the list, and today I scrolled through it and saw that it's finished. I thought it would be too abrupt or something, and it was unfinished. But no, it is very well developed. It's just that Ajax has not grown up and there is no love in the copywriting, haha. But I feel like this will appear in the extras even if I don't mention it. It always ends perfectly. I like this book very much! Reading the whole article will give you a slightly sad feeling. It's really wonderful. At the end there was a feeling of relief. It's all over, and Lyle will die in this world with the people he loves. His journey was finally over, he no longer had to be like a bird of paradise, he finally had a place to rest. It's a good ending. Hey, this is simply getting better and better. Lyle told the genie that the coordinates should be that of the patrolman who had looked for Lyle before. If he dared to come and threaten, he would have to pay a price. Ah, there's more
5. The branches of the world tree that Yuan opened in the system before (when I talk about this, I think of the first white branches)
That's it. I once again express my gratitude to my wife for allowing me to eat such delicious food. Spread flowers. I hope there will be extra episodes soon and more.
There are many stories about Lyle and Ajax, and the time is still very long. We can witness the wind and snow in the sky in winter together, feel the free wind of Mondstadt together, visit the misty clouds of Liyue together, the soul-shaking giant abyss of rock formations, the green mountains and green water of Qingce Village, breathe together the lush trees of the rainforest, measure the winding winds of the desert together, immerse ourselves in the blooming trees of Rice Wife, go see Fontaine and Nata together, and go to Baitou together.
(A kind of plant. Suddenly I remembered that Lyle is much bigger than Ajax. He may not be able to grow old again, so lie down)
Damn this ending, I would die without the extra story (sad)
Is the current Lyle still the same Lyle?
Lelvia uses the body of a shadow, the executor Lyle is considered dead, the mission has failed, and the world is also considered destroyed... So where do the prop cards come from? (Confused)
Is the paradox impossible?
What was possible is not possible, it is the past, the buried past. It's like everyone's survival proves the fact that this person is still alive so far?
(I thought so naively, just like the system)
Lyle will remember it all, he has all the memories.
That was the backup left to him by the system, a new life.
What a shame, the system left nothing behind.
It would be nice if I could back up myself too.
System--! ! In the end, there was still no one...

. . . . . I'm going to be knifed to death QAQ
Want to see and talk about it later
We want to see Lyle meet a traveler (by the way, are there any travelers in this world?)
Watch Lyle send props to his past self
Watch Lyle overthrow the Authority
It's up to Lyle to get the system back.
Want to see the follow-up of Yingda
Watch Ajax's confession
Want to see. . . .
Wow——How can you be so cruel and stop here?
This ending really gave me a knife. Is the system still alive? Even just fragments? Dadalia is well taken care of. Leah, please take Lyle home. Except for Lyle and the system, no one knows how much they paid for this ending. The system is still alive, right? There is a causal loop. It was mentioned earlier that the branches of the World Tree were given to him by Lyle in the future. So now that Lyle has survived, will Lyle find a way to bring the system back?
Tongzi whining is another one that I can't calm down
It's obviously a great ending, but I don't know why, I really want to cry.
It's over... Lyle, Lyle, that's your friend, the friend who loves you the most, the friend who has spent countless moments of life and death with you.
Don't forget him.
Live on and find your happiness...
